I sighed as i dropped the gun . It clattered as it hit the hard wooden floor . " Damn . " I said , getting up and looking at the crooked reflection of ' myself ' in the now shattered mirror .
It was spiralling tragically out of reach , I tried to reach out , to grab any remaining unbroken parts of the mirror , of my sanity . My fingers stretched desperately , but as was always inevitable , it was gone.
It was going to happen eventually , I thought . I was going crazy . I knew it . It felt ... better than i thought losing my mind would feel like . I thought of all the stories of people going mad , of the pain and suffering they described , but I didn't feel anything .
I picked up the gun from the floor and twisted it around in my hand . I thought about , well ,shooting myself . After a few minutes I decided that dying here would be boring . Instead , I got up , slid my shoes on quickly and ran out the door .
It was raining heavily , and I obviously didn't think to bring my jacket , so I just got soaked . Not that being cold would matter where I was going .
