Y/n pov( if I didn't mention this in another chapter you don't wear the uniform cause it's too small. also, I'm sorry if the story rn doesn't make sense cause I haven't updated this book for fckin ever. oh and y/n uses she/they pronouns. so if I say girlfriend or partner js know it's romantically. Oh, and the reason I'm making chapters longer is cause ik people want longer chapters for books so here ya go. I love you guys)

I kinda wanna go see Yumeko, during class. The school decided that I could wear what I want as long as my grades are good. But my mom has gotten worse. She started drinking again, but lately, it's been getting very abusive. I don't wear short sleeve shirts anymore cause now I have bruises and scratches and those marks you get after you get hit with a belt. I start to write a note telling my mom that it went and that I love her. I start to get dressed I usually would wear black jeans but today is grey cause I feel like it. And I find my Yarichan bitch club shirt and I put that on. I finally find the black and white crocs that I haven't seen in 1000 fucking years. I swear I'm gonna kill Yumeko if she didn't get the food that she said she promised me.

I start my long descent to school with hatred in my stride as it appears it is pouring down rain. I am completely drenched in rain and my hair has lost its fluffiness and now I'm mad. I don't wanna get my phone wet cause fuck that shit. I see Yumeko and she has 2 lunch boxes, and Mary is here! Bet, today finna be lit. " Hey, Yumeko! Over here! " I say and then I have instant regret, she drops everything and runs toward me and hugs me, however, I don't fall over this time to my surprise. " OH MY GOD, I MISSED YOU SO MUCH, BABY! DID YOU EAT? ARE YOU OK? DID SHE HURT YOU THIS TIME?" She says screaming at the top of her lungs. " Yea I'm ok Yumeko. What about you? And keep it down." I say getting up and picking her up with me. " That's good! I brought you food." She shows me a lunch box and Mary lets out a scoff. " Are you ok? " Mary says in a worried yet annoyed tone. " Mary I'm ok. But I'm glad you're worried about me." I say as we all start to walk to class.

We have science class first so we have to walk halfway across the building. It's a very long walk, which I hate walking. I wish I could teleport all of us straight to science class. " Yo Mary." I say without my usual stutter " What do you want idiot?" She says with an attitude. " I was just gonna ask if you wanted to hold your hand....... Im sorry......." I say woefully, to my surprise Mary grabs my hand and holds onto it very tightly. " O-oh, thank you, Mary! " I say with a smile on my face. She looks away from me with her face redder than the apple I ate for breakfast. " Yeah don't mention it, dummy. " Her and Natsuki would take over the world with each other. " y-y'know, i-if you weren't so mean to me, i-i would enjoy a relationship with you. " I say semi-confidently. She looks at me with pure joy, which then turns into pure disgust. " W-why would I wanna be with you?! " I could tell she wanted it but she had a tsundere act to keep up so I understand why she would say no in public, it still hurts though. " Y-you know you want me, e-even if you say you d-don't, I know i-its just cause y-your a t-tsundere. " I say with a smile on my face even though deep down I'm kind of hurt. I know she loves me but sometimes I really think she doesn't love me. " Wait, w-wheres Y-Yumeko? " I say worried, what if Midari got to her. More importantly, What if Midaris gets her to get to me. Yumeko wouldn't tell her where I'm going, I know her too well, and plus, she doesn't even know Midari exists. So I'm good.

We make it to science class unscathed and with our vocal cords intact, without being confronted by Midari. " I-i'm glad we made it M-Mary! And we're early! " I look at Mary with a big smile and she blushes. " I'm glad you're happy, loser. " Mary says while pulling her hand from mine, before she fully can I pull her hand back to mine. It was so sudden and I don't know why I did it, but I did. " W-what?! Why'd you do that?! " She yells. She continues to yell until the teacher comes out. " if you aren't going to come to class at least be a little quieter. " The teacher says crossing her arms. I understand why shes mad but damn lady. " Shut the hell up, lady! " Mary says practically spitting acid on this woman. Yumeko comes out with her notebook and she comes toward me and Mary. " You know what, I think Mary can handle herself for now. Let's go some snacks from the vending machine! " Yumeko says as she pulls me with her toward the vending machine. It's like 10 minutes away and we're in science class, but thanks to Mary we might not even have science class. ( thank you mary <33 .) " What are we gonna get 'Meko? I kinda want a chocolate bar, and maybe we can walk to the store and get some actual food. " I say rubbing my growling stomach with my free hand. " I understand that you wouldn't wanna eat your lunch so early in the morning. So let's go to the store! " Yumeko says heading to the gates of the school. She's gonna give me whiplash I swear.

We are halfway to the store when Yumeko says something out of the ordinary. " Y/n, will you be my partner? " She says in a sweet tone. I heard "my partner" and I started panicking. My breathing gets ragged and heavy. It's not like I don't wanna be her partner I'd love to, but also kinda like Mary, Midari, Kirari, Ririka, and I think the rest of the council. So saying i'll be her girlfriend would be unfair to me and anyone else who likes me. ( I'm foreshadowing so fuckin much I'm sorry. ) " Y-yumeko I like you, I really l-love you. B-but what if someone else likes me? If anyone else does like me i-i'll give you and them a chance. O-ok? " I feel bad 'cause she was so happy when she asked me.

" Oh, ok. But can I treat you like my partner? " She says looking up at me, rubbing my hands with her own. It feels nice and her hands are very warm to the touch. It makes me melt into her and whenever she asks me something I melt, but I can't do that now. Hard as nails ( if you know that reference dm me rot, still waitin for season 3 to come out ) " O-of course, 'm-meko, just not t-to a-affectionate. " Yumekos always asked about my stutter and I never told her why I stutter, cause I don't know why I stutter, my brain just doesn't register what im saying I can't say what I wanna say at certain times, or it just takes me to many tries to say what I wanna say, so usually I just stop trying. " Well let's get some food for now," Yumeko says. " Get what you want and i'll get what I want, and then we get something for each other. " I nod my head and we part our separate ways.

I immediately go to the section where I know they sell tteokbokki and ramen. I pick up 2 of each and go to find another one of my favorite foods. The cheese corndogs. They taste amazing and i literally have to put them in the air fryer for like, 3-5 minutes, and it's perfect. I go to the drink section where I see a group of men harassing Yumeko.
