*Swear warning*
Janelle's POV
"Kerrie Denway....how do I begin to describe Kerrie Denway?"
"Easy, she's a stuck-up bitch."
"Lottie, you can't just say that!"
"Uh, yeah I can, especially since it's true."That's all I've been hearing since I pointed out this gorgeous girl (who's apparently called Kerrie Denway) and asked about her. I felt out of place in this new school. Coming from Los Angeles in America to a Colchester high school was one of the biggest moves I'd ever done, and also the most challenging since my baby brother Gabriel died from being born prematurely. That could also be the reason we moved; it all hurt mom too much.
Don't get me wrong, I like Colchester a hell of a lot more than stupid LA. And these two girls showing me around, Lottie and Amy, were the sweetest, although really intense. They insisted introducing me to all 90 of the people in our year, so I could have people to talk to. Well, not exactly everyone. Here's what I know about Kerrie Denway;
1) She's filthy rich. Like absolutely loaded.
2) She's the best player on the netball team.
3) She has the most desirable boyfriend, Dan Gonia.
4) She's, as Lottie likes to put it, a 'stuck up bitch'.
5) She's hot. Like supermodel level hot.And all of this makes my heart throb for her.
Which, inconviently, made all the lessons before break pass like a blur.
_____________
Kerrie's POV
Another Monday. A Monday I thought would be like any other. But of course, I was living too easy. Everything, in school at least, was going my way.
So the universe had to fuck it up.
This is where Janelle Roberts comes in. The pretty American new girl. The one everyone wants to get to know.
Especially Dan.
Of course, I'm not the control freak psycho girlfriend who doesn't let her man within two metres of another girl, I mean, he's my boyfriend for god's sake, I trust him. What I don't trust is the loving way he stared at Janelle Roberts the moment she struts her pretty-I mean, stupid- arse into the building. I mean, he wasn't even listening to me. And I'm sure I saw drool.
Same at break. He says he wants to meet up with some of the guys. I knew he wasn't telling the truth, so I kiss him passionately as a goodbye and secretly follow him. Well, I was right! He was introducing himself, at the insistence of Lazy Lottie and Arsehole Amy. He was blushing more than I've seen him, ever, in the two years of our relationship.
So this is how you wanna play Janelle? You wanna play dirty? Fine. We'll play dirty.

Dan's POV
Today was possibly the most amazing Monday I've had in a long time. I thought I was in for another dreary day with Kerrie and then BOOM! In walks the hottest girl I've ever seen. I turn over and ask Kerrie who she is.
"Oh, her? She's just the new girl, the one from America everyone was talking about. So anyway-" But I didn't hear the rest of Kerrie's rant. I was too busy looking at the new girl.
Look, I know what it looks like, and I would NEVER cheat on Kerrie (mainly because her dad would hunt me down and have my head.) But I just don't feel the spark in our relationship anymore, you know? I no longer crave her smile like I used to. I've been meaning to break up with her for at least a month now, but I just didn't have the heart to break her like that. But at the same time, I know it's unfair on us both to keep going. Which is why Miss American newbie has pretty much saved my arse.
See, if I explain to Kerrie that the new girl was begging, then she'd take her anger out on her and not me. Then, I could break up with her afterward, saying it was her fault for getting angry. Not the most noble of strategies, but it would work! I just need to get closer to the new girl... which starts by actually knowing her name.
Break time couldn't come sooner. I almost got detention in at least two classes for 'not paying attention ', because of course I was preoccupied on what I would have to do. But finally first bell rang and I shot out of the classroom, only to be met by a giggling Kerrie who took her usual place hanging off my arm, showing off that I was hers.
"Not for long...." I accidentally said out loud.
"What was that, darling?" Kerrie asked, confused.
"Oh, it's nothing baby, just me remembering something Ms Freewelll taught us in English Literature."
"Ok.... you sure you're alright babe?" Kerrie asked, making me slightly regret what I was planning.
"Yeah honey, I'm fine. Listen, I'm going to go meet up with Sam and Al, ok? I promised them I'd play rugby today. I love you, never forget that." I said, just wanting to get to the new girl, who were being paraded around by Amy and Lottie.
"Alright... love you too handsome." Kerrie said, turning my attention back to her, before she grabbed my face and pulled me in for a vicious kiss. I could feel the passion radiating off her, which was going to make my plan a hell of a lot harder down the line, when the time came.Pulling away, I gave Kerrie a roguish smile, before running over to the other side of the yard where I hoped I would find Amy, Lottie, and my future girlfriend.
Sure enough, there she was, giggling as a rare sunbeam bounced off her silky auburn hair, turning it copper. Her ocean eyes twinkled, mesmerized, as Amy explained what a Prime Minister was. She was the very description of perfection.
"Hey Dan, come meet the new girl!" Amy yelled, grabbing my wrist and wrenching me out of my daydream.
"Hey, Amy, slow down, I'm not in any rush-" I started, but didn't finish when I saw that she was looking at me.
"H-Hey. I'm Dan- Dan Gonia. N-Nice to meet you!" I said, babbling like an idiot.
"Nice to meet you, Dan Gonia. My name is Janelle Roberts." Janelle said with a kind smile on her face.
"S-So Janelle, would you like to go out for ice cream sometime? My treat?" I offered, but immediately regretted it as her smile faltered a little.
"Sorry, I can't. I need to help my mom unpack. I'm sure Kerrie would like to go with you." She said, sounding a little amused.
"Kerrie? Wha-" I say. Turning around, I see Kerrie's radiant blonde hair and a scowl on her face. I immediately knew I was in for a world of pain.Oh fudge.
