Walking around with no hands - glaive
"From the cheap romances to the nervous glances, I don't know exactly but I know that it happened"
Karl slid the sweater over his head, tugging the hem down before walking back into the frame of his phones camera.
"Does this one look any better?" Karl asked. It was finally Thursday, the day of the dance. And, as he always did, he was overthinking his outfit on facetime with Quackity and George mere minutes before they arrived to pick him up.
"Yes, Karl, the last one looked fine too," He heard George complain, grunting not a moment after, "I like that one," Quackity smiled after glancing over, despite being the one driving.
The brunette groaned and turned back around to his closet, staring at it before carding through the hangers with little thought, "What, do you have someone to impress?" The boy driving teased. Karl turned around quickly to face the screen, where he saw George's poor attempt at hiding his laugh in the corner of the screen.
"No, of course not." Karl mumbled, before turning back.
"Are you sure it looks fine?" He spoke up again in desperate attempt at Quackity not asking anymore questions.
"Well it better be cause we're here," George said at the same time as Karl heard a car honk. Karl quickly turned around and grabbed his phone, along with his set of keys that sat next to the device.
"Okay, okay," The brunette rushed out as he left this room to go put his shoes on, "I'll be out in a moment." He didn't wait for a response before hanging up and shoving his phone in his pocket.
"Have fun, honey." Karl's mom spoke from the other room as he finished slipping on his shoes, not bothering to tie them before rushing out the door with a goodbye to his mother.
He spotted the dark blue car in front of his driveway which he immediately recognised as Quackity's shitty car he got a few months ago. One of the headlights shone dimmer than the other, and the ac took 27 minutes and 42.6 seconds to start up. They timed it one day when they were sat bored in the blistering heat of the car.
Karl tugged the door handle, bending down to peer through the window when it failed to open. Quackity quickly unlocked the door with a click and allowed the boy to throw it open and slide into the backseat.
Quackity turned to Karl smirking, "Ready?" The brunet nodded in response, tugging his foot onto the seat to tie it. George laughed.
"Why didn't you tie your shoes before you came out?" He said as Quackity started the car back up and began to pull away.
"I didn't want to keep you guys waiting," Karl said sheepishly.
"Oh yeah, I'm in a big rush to get to a high school dance." Quackity remarked sarcastically. "Well, I don't know," Karl said as he finished tying up his second shoe.
George held a hand out to Karl, "Aux." They had a system where whoever sat in the back was the one who chose the music they listened to during the ride. "Right," Karl said as he slipped his phone from his pocket, handing the device to George.
The brunet plugged it in and put in Karl's password before opening Spotify, "play that one," Karl said as he pointed to a playlist.
He put the playlist on shuffle and slipped Karl's phone into the cup holder for the rest of the ride as they talked back and forth about nothing and everything.
