"Are you satisfied?" Katrina cries out at me as she practically dragged me down back to her car from my uncles car.

"Hardly. That wasn't even 15 minutes." I point my out, narrowing my eyes down at her.
I hope she felt my wrath.

"You're not intimidating with those baby blue eyes Madison. And it was long enough, besides by the time I got there, your uncle was practically kicking you out." Katrina retorts back.

"Baby blue huh? Sounds like you fancy me." I tease and Katrina groans.

"This is serious Madison!" She exclaims and
I slide into the passengers seat of her car with a sigh.
"I know. I know. Lighten up, will ya?" I urge and think back onto what my aunt had said.
House with bright bright lights. What kind of hint was that? And what was I supposed to get out of it?

"Did you at least find out anything?" She asks turning over to look at me.
"Nothing. Now let's get out of here." I suddenly began to feel extremely irritated and closed my eyes, trying to distract myself

When we walked back into the hotel room we were staying at, I was surprised to see Daniel sitting at one of the desks with his papers sprawled.

"Did you rush me out of there to see this guy? You have got to be kidding me!" I exclaimed and Katrina pushed me all the way into the room.

"Nice to see you too Madison." Daniel greeted and I waved half heartedly.

"So, what you find out about my old doc?" I ask, flopping down on the bed.

"Well, not any good news. They locked him away after they found him drugged with benzos, opium and ketamine. Which he did himself, the man lost his mind." Daniel explained, rummaging through papers.

I couldn't say I was surprised that one of our prime witnesses was now completely implicated and under peculiar circumstances.

"Are they sure he did it himself? No one put anything in his food or swapped his own personal medication?" Katrina asked, standing behind Daniel, reaching over him to find evidence of any sort.
"No, when we arrived at his office he was scarfing down more medication. The police believe his manic depression got the best of him and he attempted an overdose." He admitted solemnly.
I stood up and walked over towards the only window with a decent view. I gazed out it while rain blurred the window but I could still see the mothers rushing their children to the car. The lights of the city emitted through the darkness from the clouds above.

"People take benzos in order to numb their emotions and give off neutral expression. Opium is supposed to relax the body and reduce anxiety. Ketamine does the same as a benzo would. I don't deny the fact the man had depression but something tells me if he was in the midst of doing an attempt...he might have had a little push." I exaggerate the last word and turn around.

Daniel and Katrina are both staring at me with confused expressions on their face.
"What are you thinking?" Katrina asks, walking closer to me. She always tried to read my expression by staring me down.

She told me it was a way to embark fear on somebody but I think it was her trying to read me. She was far from fearful.

"I've know Dr. Thomas for nearly 10 years now. He tried to counsel me on more than one occasion and always talked about how in most cases, people are not born 'crazy'- we are pushed to do certain things or pushed into our pit of insanity. I also know how my father... He was known to be a very persuasive person and not in the good way." I whisper, memories flooded my brain once again and I struggled to fight them before reliving them all over again.

"You think your father might've paid him a visit?" Daniel asks, pulling out a sticky note from his briefcase, writing frantically.

"That or a guilty conscious got the best of him. Either way, I'd like to go see him." I announce, folding my arms across my chest.
Katrina seemed ultimately shocked.
