Re-write : Chapter 4 - God dammit Momonga

Svalinn POV -

I woke up, and felt something fluffy covering me.

"Hey Asmoday. Sorry for sleeping on you" I said.

There was no response.

"Huh? Asmoday?" I asked as I got up.

I was still covered by their wings, but something felt wrong.

I removed the wings, and the whole tomb heard me scream.

"Svalinn-sama! Is everything alright?" Sebas asked as he knocked on my door.

"Y-yeah. I mean no!" I said.

He opened the door, and looked around my room with a confused look.

"Sebas? Where is Asmoday?" I asked.

"They've gone to a nearby village with Momonga-sama. Why?" he asked.

"T-these wings. They're Asmoday's. Can you tell me why they're no longer attached to them?" I asked.

"I... don't know. But they should be returning soon. Would you like to wait for them in Momonga-sama's office?" he asked.

I nodded.

I sat in Momonga's office for a few minutes, as I watched him fight alongside Asmoday.

I couldn't see them killing the soldiers, and had to move away from the mirror.

I waited for some more time, when he entered his office with Asmoday.

I was sitting on his chair, arms crossed and donning a disappointed 'mom glare'.

"Hi Svalinn" Momonga said.

"Hello Momonga. I heard you went out today" I said with a sweet smile.

A green flash covered him.

"Yes" he said.

"And why didn't you take me with you?" I asked.

"There was no need for you to be involved" he said.

"No need to be involved.... What were you thinking!? I should've been there to help you guys!" I shouted.

"Why didn't I let you help me? That's rich coming from you! You never let your so called friends help you!" he shouted back.

"I have my reasons!" I said.

"Yeah, that's right! You think you're better than all of us! That's why you don't need help!" he said as the green glow covered him again.

"Come on Momonga. That's not the reason" Asmoday said.

"You shut up! You don't get to say anything in here! You.... You chopped off your own wings!" I shouted.

There was a painful silence.

"T-that's not something that can harm me" they said.

"Yeah!? And what about that attack you took head on during your fight out there!?" I shouted.

"I... I just don't want to loose you again, Asmoday" I said as oil began to leak on my porcelain face.

"Shh. Svalinn. I won't leave you guys again" they said as they hugged me.

"And Momonga. How the fuck did you reach that conclusion!?" they shouted at him.

"I- Then why doesn't she ever let us help her?" he said.

"She has her reasons. Respect her privacy, man" they said.

After things calmed down, Momonga apologized to me and asked us to come to an announcement he was about to make.
