"It's alright, I'm Ayin, who are you?"
The boy, Ayin, seemed more confident now. There wasn't a shake in his voice. Irisir was hesitant, and replied, "Doesn't matter right now. Are you a patient as well?" Ayin nodded, understanding that she wouldn't want to reveal her name just yet. He said that he came from a village not far from where they were.
"Speaking of which, where are we?" Irisir looked around. She was determined to find out where she was, who brought her here, and why. There was nothing in the room aside from the medical equipment in one corner, and Irisir thought it was impolite to wake up all these people and ask them where they were.
So Irisir tried standing up again, and she was able to, just for a moment before her wobbly legs gave out on her and she collapsed once again. "Urgh..." Irisir groaned. She looked up at Ayin on the anvil, since he hadn't commented on her failing again. She saw him fidgeting around, like he was impatiently waiting for something.
Then, suddenly, something clicked and made other noises that machinery make. Irisir's eyes fell on the door.
Something was moving in its gears. Then, all of a sudden, glowing blue streaks appeared on the rusty door, and then the blue diamond glowed brightly, going from dark blue to a glowing near white. Then, just as quickly, the light died down and slowly, the diamond was pushed back and the door slid open.
Irisir's heart rate picked up significantly, fear pumping in her body. "Geez, this door really needs to get fixed so it works faster! What happens if someone's fatally injured or something?" The person from the other side groaned aloud. Irisir swallowed loudly. She didn't see Ayin's expression, she was too focused on the source of the voice.
It sounded like a raspy and annoyed androgynous voice. When the door finally revealed the figure, Irisir saw her.
She had long, white hair and black skin with a pair of graying blue irises inside slanted eyes that gave her an angry feature. She seemed to have eye bags under her eyes, too. Her body was quite angular and she wore a white nightgown. The girl seemed taller than Irisir, and she seemed older, too. She cupped her face and yelled, "ALRIGHT, PEOPLE, WAKE UP, WAKE UP WAKE UP! TIME FOR BREAKFAST!" Then began loudly clapping her hands.
Everyone was startled awake, but they started squirming out of bed and filing out of the room, leaving only Irisir and Ayin.
"C'mon, Miss, let's go," Ayin says, now out of bed. Said girl struggled to move her legs, but she eventually got up and was led out the door by Ayin, albeit her being hesitant in taking his hand. The tall girl gave her a glare before moving away to the hallway that this acquaintance was leading her to. What was that for?
They went in only a few directions (Ayin seemed to know this place quite well) before they found a door. Something in it hissed, and then she was met with an exploding amount of noise and chatter.
They were at the cafeteria. Huh, Irisir thought. It was quite clean, with people talking, chatting, and munching on something. There were lots of tables, stone ones with white paint on them and stone stools surrounding them. There were more blue diamonds, but they looked like centerpieces to the tables.
Ayin led her to a counter where there was an adult man was sitting. There were orders to choose from carved on stone. The adult man looked at her and smiled fondly, "Welcome, what do you want to order? Or do you want to make something yourself?" Irisir was starving from all the running, she could practically feel her stomach bellowing and screaming at her to feed it something. But she had no idea what to eat! Thankfully, Ayin started saying his order and Irisir just wanted to have what he had.
Hopefully, this guy won't ask the chefs to poison her dish.
Ayin led her to one of the tables, where there was a boy with some of his long hair in a mohawk with the rest of his hair in a braid. His eye shapes were sharp and his irises were dull green, and he seemed to be either muscular or his clothes were just baggy and he wore a scarf covering the lower part of his face.
He honestly looked aggressive and terrifying. Next to him was the girl from earlier. Ayin waved at the two of them, and the girl waved at him back, signaling him to sit at the table with a grin. She was acting nice now, didn't she just glare at Irisir earlier? Maybe she's just not much of a morning person? That would explain the eyebags.
Ayin pulled up another seat and motioned Irisir to sit on it. She complied and sat down with the other two kids.
"Hey, sorry I glared at ya earlier. The name's Teth," The long haired girl extended her arm to Iriai. She turned to her seat mate and pointed at him. "This is Tsadi," Tsadi gave a little wave, almost shy. Wow, if he looked menacing earlier, he looks quite the opposite now, is what the girl thought. She turned back to her. "Now, what's your name?"
