What are you anyways? (SkyCotl x RWBY)

Chapter 1

Zu took in a deep breath, before her eyes was the Eye of Eden. She was very nervous, this was the first time she came here without the help of a veteran. A honk escaped her mouth as  a Chibi ran past her without any hesitation at all, 'Chibi, why are you so reckless!?' That was all she thought before moving forward to catch up to the Chibi. She ran as fast as her legs could take her, as she was running she was taking out some winged lights  and placing them on the nearby statues while also dodging some falling rocks that was hurdling into her face.

She didn't completely dodge them all, she could feel her light so close to putting itself out. She looked around and saw a lit fire just beside the next statue, with resolution she ran faster in hopes she could reach it without getting hit.

Jumping, weaving, and running. She was almost to the fire when a weak call attracted her attention, out in the open was a small burnt out sky kid calling. Every few seconds winged lights bursted out of their body, Zu remembered the Chibi who ran in first, 'Chibi!' Zu didn't realize that a rock was flying towards her and was hit. She lost 2 winged lights and making herself burnt out aswell.

With her blurry vision, she crawled towards the fire. As she crawled, she felt more winged lights leave her body. By the time she reached the fire,  she only had 43 winged lights left. Light returned to her body as she looked towards the still calling Chibi, the sky kid was waiting near the unlit fire statue.

She pushed onwards towards them, she was hit a few times but still had some light in her to light up the statue. With a candle in hand, she dove towards cover and lit up the statue refilling her light aswell as the Chibi's. A honk escaped her mouth as she wiped off the sweat trickling down her mask. She looked at the Chibi and saw that she was looking at her.

Zu tilted her head as the Chibi bowed, before continuing on with her journey. Zu felt herself deadpan as she watched the Chibi get pummeled once again by rocks, She sighed and decided to finish the Eden run and go meet her friends back at the hidden forest.

A few minutes of dodging and weaving, she was on her last winged light but the statue was far away from her current position. So she sat down and let the rocks pummel her to oblivion, when she opened her eyes. She was in the darkness once again for the 8th time, she saw the child waiting for her as she staggered towards them.

When she arrived, she let out a quiet honk attracting the attention of the child. Zu then opened her arms wide as the child dove right into her embrace, 'I still don't understand why you're here alone.' The child then disappears as she regained her light and cape. When she looked behind her, she saw the Chibi staring back at her, the Chibi bowed before flying towards the light stream.

She then follows, flying through collapsing structures and being launched forward by the creatures of light. Finally for what seemed like hours, she finally arrived to what she dubbed as 'The Ball' a flash of light and then she awakens in a stone circle with children of light waiting for her.

They then turned into smaller lights as they were absorbed into her and becoming ascended candles. With that her Eden run is complete, she jogged straight to the gates collecting the winged lights in the spirits hands on the way. As she stepped into the gate, a sudden shift was felt. Like something was changed.

[Remnant - Beacon Academy - Day of initiation]

The students were ready to be launched, In their stances they looked forward. One of the students on the other hand had other things in mind, "Hey what's that light over there?" The student's words attracted the others' attention even the teachers. A bright gold star hovering in the air as it spew out golden lights everywhere.

Ozpin had a better eyesight than most people, so when he looked at the golden lights. He found what he couldn't quite believe even with his age.

"Children of light?"
