A boy walked up to his mother to ask a question.
"Mom, how did you and dad meet?"
The boy asked"Well, Gon, we were in high school."
"I was a loner, and he was popular. I fell in love the moment I met him, and in the end, he fell in love with me too, but it isn't that easy, baby boy. I had to get rid of a few bugs before I could claim him as mine, it was hard, but it was worth it. We got married, got a house, then had you."
His mother told him, smiling sweetly.
"But mother, why do I feel so empty and meaningless? The world is in black in white."
The boy asked while looking down, but you couldn't really tell if he was sad or not.
"Awh, so it's like that for you too, huh?"
His mother huffed, then crouched.
"Well, when I was your age, it was the same thing for me for as long as I can remember, but when I met your dad, I felt things! I felt happiness, sadness, jealousy.. love, but most importantly, I felt anger... hate..." She said
"I still do. Your dad is the reason I'm alive, my soulmate."
His mother smiled.
"When you meet that special someone, you will also feel emotions and see the world in colors."
She trailed off"But it's possible for them to get taken away, so when you find them, do whatever it takes to keep them yours."
His mother gave him a sickling smile
"No matter what!" She said. Gon nodded.
"No matter what,"
He repeated. A fake smile coming on his face.
———————————꧂
That was two years ago. Both his mom and dad died, his dad due to cancer, and her mom due to suicide; when his mom heard of the passing of her husband, the color quickly drained from her eyes, and she was emotionless again.
After a few hours of living like that, she took her life. Then gons Aunt, Aunt Mito took him in.
So for two years, Gon's been living with his Aunt Mito, but she didn't know much about Gon, so he put on a fake smile (oOoOO edgy) and faked his emotions; he decided to fake them for the rest when he gets in high school.
So here he is, pretending he has a bright personality, with good grades, and is surprisingly lonely.
He's a first-year at hunters academy, a kinda pretentious school for the Richie rich kids and the intelligent bookworms.
Instantly he was liked by teachers and ignored by anyone else, the teacher wanted him because he was bright but quiet, smart but humble, and he was a big help and kept to himself.
The boy got a talent for anything gym related.
He's extremely strong, can run fast, and passed the pacer test on the 131 laps, but they had to cut him short because it was going on for waaaay too long. It's like the ultimate non-problematic child.
Gon didn't really care about anything the teachers or the students had to say about him, but he decided to join soccer so he could make his aunt happy by playing sports.
"Hey, Freeces, can you deliver these papers to the teacher in the upper class 2-C I would go myself, but I got a meeting to attend."
Gon showed him a small smile.
