I'm not into parties

„BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP" My alarm was reckless. Couldn't even warn me. My mom bought the clock for me as an insider because I had such an abnormally bad sense of time. It was a month before the accident. If I knew that the time with her would end soon, I would have appreciate her existence more. Anyway, time to get ready. „Good morning angel!". „Morning dad!" I replied. I slowly sat down at our dining table because it's the first school day and I definitely won't have motivation to prepare an 8 page essay about polar bears right after the summer holidays at 7am. Sorry but i am a very big morning grouch in contrast to my little sister Grace. Who, by the way, just joined me for breakfast. „Hello my dear, generous, gracious, kind, beautiful-" „What is your intention?" I interrupted her. „Will you drive me to school please?" She asked hopefully. I almost felt like I could see the sparkles in her eyes. I admit she looked like a sweet puppy with this look. I couldn't say no even if I know in real life she's a cheeky little 13 year old girl. „Ok" I said while letting out a little sigh. „YES!" She turned in a circle.

After we got into the car she looked at me and randomly said: „ Could you please act like you're an normal teenager who is living an normal and cool life and having, you know, a boyfriend? Just once?" I looked at her in disbelief. „What? Why?" She looked like she was thinking. „Well girls at your age are going on party's, breaking rules, kissing boys. Have you even ever talked to a boy?" Okay she was right. But I'm not into parties or „living my life". I'd like to sit at home and bake, sing, read, dance or listen to some music. (My favorite book is Pride and Prejudice by the way). I totally driftet off the topic. It's true. Grace was 100% true. „Yes I already talked to boys, and also..." I stopped and thought about what I should say next. „Mind your own business". She rolled her eyes.

I went to my locker to get my things when I saw a letter in there. All of a sudden I was very excited, I never get letters. I slowly opened the envelope. It said „Party at 43 Maple Street Friday 9 p.m." A party? Nope, Not with me. I looked at the back to see who the sender was. SERENA RODRIGUEZ?!? I freezed for about an hour... Ok not really. She was the literal queen of the school. Cheer captain, popular and blonde. „Hey Valley, you got a letter too?" My best friend Azalea came from the side. „Yeah, but why are we invited?" I asked suspiciously. „Seems like everybody got a letter. Are you coming?" I almost chocked without having something to choke on. „Me? Do I look this lost?" I asked. „Oh come on, I heard McCrasely is coming too." She said. „Is not changing my mind" She looked at me in disbelief. „He is damn hot Valley!" „Yes, but you also have exceptional taste. I mean... who likes platform clogs?" She laughed „I said they are interesting, I never said I like them." We both just giggled. To be honest I'm actually thinking about coming to this party.
