I smeared the red lipstick onto my lips. Looking in the mirror with my tube blue dress on, I decided I looked positively yummy. That's when I heard a honk from outside my window. I walked through my mess of a room to lean out to see Ryana's red Jeep's lights flashing rapidly.

" Hold on! I'm coming. "

Hoping she didn't wake the whole house, I went down the hallway. Luckily, my parents were still sound asleep. It wasn't like I was worried about getting caught or anything after all I wasn't 18 anymore. It was the awkward conversation with them I had that I wanted more than anything to avoid.

As I slid into the vehicle I noticed it was the first time I had seen Ryana in non-work clothes. She was wearing a deep blue dress with pink flowers on though it shared the same color as mine it definitely gave off a different vibe. Yet it matched nicely with her brunette hair.

" You know we ain't goin' to church, right? " I said jokingly.

She rolled her eyes and started the car.

" Sooo, we gon' talk about it. " I nudged.

To this she just sighed and began, " He's an old friend...Barely even know him anymore. "

" Old friend, my ass. Did you see the way he looked at you? " I groaned. " Oh my god he was so fucking yummy! "

Ryana glared at me for a second. So fast I wouldn't have even caught it if I wasn't looking her way. Then she smiled and laughed.

" First off, let's never call anyone yummy again. " she cackled.

After that she didn't say much else so I let it slide. Most of me didn't think much of it but other part of me felt off.

Wish I would have listened to the other part of me then.

When we arrived at the club, thankfully, ladies were free as per the rule. First thing I went to get was a drink for Ryana and I. So I tucked over to the bar, flirted a little with the bartender as per usual, then brought the drinks back. It was my favorite club in the whole small town because of the most obvious reasons like one the men. Eyeing a blonde boy in the corner who was watching me like a shy school boy. I couldn't help but wink. Glancing at to Ryana, she gave me a knowing look.

"I'm not even going to drink that much. " I said, waving one hand in the air innocently.

" Better not. We've got work tomorrow. "

Just like that I was granted permission to let loose. As I downed my glass of wine, my hips began to move. I swayed my arms through the air. Then I let my body take care of the rest. As I started to move the crowd and even Ryana started to move with me until I was encircled by people watching me. I didn't mind the attention. To be completely honest I welcomed it. It was more than I got at home or by friends or family or by anyone for that matter. As I twisted, the glass in my hand almost fell but luckily I caught it. But in that slow moment I saw it.

A tall bearded man reached around a woman and took her purse. It was so fast, the woman who was watching me didn't even notice it. I didn't even realize I yelled until my arms fell to my sides dropping the glass entirely. It shattered into a million pieces.

Pushing past the crowd, there was confused gasps and tons of " where is she going?" Of course, I didn't answer back as I followed the bearded man to the back of the club. I guessed he heard something behind him because he looked back to see me then started running to the back door in sight. I ran too.

My flats made it so I could keep up with him as he ran on the sidewalk.

" Hey! Give it back! " I yelled tispy-ly.

I took off a shoe and chucked it in his direction hitting the back of his bald head. He stopped short enough for me to get behind him and put my arm around his neck. Struggling, he did the last thing I could have expected. He bit me. Right on the arm.

Suddenly, I felt light headed letting go.

" Shit..." I whispered, looking up at the man who was nowhere in sight as I held my arm.

Blood poured out where the teeth marks were at. I wasn't that far away from the club so I began to walk back in my horrible state. Blood was getting on to my dress as I walked, staining the perfect blue a shade of crimson. Everything started to get blurry with each step I took. So I ran. Faster and faster. My brain couldn't focus. Blood, the blood smelled so weird.

But why was I thinking that of all things?

I finally got to the back door and banged on it until someone whose face was blurred out let me inside. It was then everything got really woosy. Like I was floating on air itself.

And then I blacked out.
