"Y/n!! Wake up! We've been ambushed!!" one of the warriors had shouted to me.
I opened my eyes and saw chaos.
Our enemy had attacked when we lowered our guard.
I headed out for the frontlines.
"It's too dangerous y/n! You won't survive!" They shouted to me.
"If I don't do something, mine and many others deaths will be in vain!"
I'm a warrior of this kingdom, we have been in a war with our neighboring kingdom for over a year. The fight has already started to reach it climax, meaning someone will fall soon enough..

"We shall fight with everything we've got!! Do not hesitate!!" I shouted, guiding the frontlines into war.
We all shouted and went head on against our enemy.
I had five guys on me trying to kill me. It was expected since I was a small girl in their eyes.
Ever since I was a child, I've been viewed as weak and fragile. It made my classmates laugh when I mentioned that I wanted to become a warrior for our country.. I knew at that moment that I was going to prove every single one of them wrong. That's why I will fight with all my might. For myself and my people.

The enemy warriors were very weak... so many warriors with no skills.
It was like that until I fought against a tall man with blonde hair. He was very good.
I couldn't attack, I was on the offense.
This wasn't good.
"What is a little girl doing here!?" He shouted at me.
"Why should you know! You probably wouldn't understand how hard I've worked to be standing here!!" I shouted back.
"Why would a little girl want to come into a war? You must be crazy" he said, laughing.
"Well what is a stuck up enemy doing trying to talk to this little girl!?" I shouted, throwing my sword at him as hard as I could, making him fall to the ground.
"Hmph.. not to bad, but not good enough!" He shouted, kicking me to the ground.
"You think I'll let you guys defeat us!?" I shouted, standing up.
"Shima!!! We're to retreat!! Our men have been cut down more than half!!" A guy said, grabbing the guy and running off.

After a few days of the enemies retreat, they finally decided to admit their defeat and created a treaty. They lended us warriors for our kingdom. They also combined the kingdoms and we grew largely.
"We meet again."
I looked and saw the one warrior who had stood out to me.
"Yes." I said.
"We're no longer enemies, but now allies so let's work well" I said.
"I hope so too"
"I'm y/n, you?"
"Tsukishima.. or they call me shima" he said.
"Okay... Tsukishima, let's do our best"

As I got to know Tsukishima, I found out that he's very quiet and minds his own business. But for some reason he always has to butt into my business.
"You've been really annoying lately.." I said, crossing my arms.
"I have? How so?" He asked.
"Um, well this morning you had to come disturb me when I was still asleep. And before we did our town checkup, you tried to confront me and the commander's conversation.." I said.
"Well I heard the commander mention marriage.." he said.
I looked at him confused, "how does that grab your attention? It's just marriage, nothing special" I said, sighing.
"Okay, so you don't mind if I asked you to marry me?"
"..."
"Im just kidding why would you think tha..."
My face burned red. I covered my face with my hands.
"W-Why would you wanna marry me! You're so strange.." I said, walking away.
"Haha, shall I take that as a yes?" He asked.
"...leave me alone..you're really getting on my nerves y'know"
"Yes yes" he said, patting my head as we walked through the town.

Was I developing feelings for him? It was impossible I had just known him for a couple months.
He seemed to make my days more interesting and fun. He did a lot for me.

One day when I was doing my daily route, I was summoned.
"Y/n!!! The commander needs you in the chapel!!!"
"The chapel??" I said, confused.

When I entered the chapel, it was empty.
"Commander?" I Said.
The room echoed.
"Y/n" I heard my name.
It was tsukishima.
"What're you doing here? Were you summoned too? Did you happen to see the commander somewhere on your way here?"
"Too many questions... y/n.." he said.
"What happened? Are you okay? Are you pulling a prank on me again?" I asked, looking around me.
"Haha!" He laughed and shook his head.
He went down on one knee.
I was confused. This is something you do when...

"Y/n, will you marry me?"

Me?

Marry... him?

Is this a dream..?

I can't believe it..

I just stood in my place frozen.
"...yes..!" I said, running into his arms.
"Ah! Hahaha!" He laughed out.
Then everyone suddenly appeared in the room and started celebrating.
"What's everyone doing here?" I asked.
"I asked them to come a celebrate our engagement" he said, smiling at me.
"..so you knew I was going to say yes?" I asked.
"Yes, because we're made for each other"

"..made for each other..?"

"You're so weird..!" I Said, hitting his arm.
"Haha! Only for you"
"Shima-san, please don't say that, it's so cheesy... so unlike you" some warriors said.
"What'd you say?" Tsukishima said, glaring at them.
"Eheh, we're just kidding..." they said, shivering.
"You sound like an old man" I said, laughing.
"Well you'll soon be an old lady with me" he said, smiling.
"Soon?" I said, glaring at him.
"Ah, I'm just kidding, joke!!"

"Y/n, what did you mean when you asked shima-san if he was pea king you again?" The youth warriors asked me.
"Oh. This morning Tsukishima decided to scare me with fake bugs and threw a cream pie at me" I explained.
Their faces were frozen.
"Shima-san almost didn't get married! He's lucky y/n loves him that much!" They said, laughing at tsukishima.
"Haha, yeah" I said, looking over at tsukishima.

We had our wedding and started our family. We had four kids, a daughter and three sons.

As they grew, we also grew. Me and Tsukishima lived our days to the fullest until the very end.

We lay in our death beds.
"Sweetie, make sure to take good care of your brothers" I said, grazing my hand across her face.
"I will, don't you worry mother" she said, crying into my hand.
"I won't let you down"

"Please don't leave us mother, father" our sons said.
"We're going to be fine, you...guys just look after one another..." I said, trying to catch a breath.

"Our time is almost up..." I said, looking over at tsukishima.
He looked back at me, smiling.
We held each other's hand.
"Please don't forget about us" I said, tears falling down my eyes.
"How can I? You guys were the ones who gave me life and taught me everything I know.." my daughter said, tears Falling out of her eyes faster.
"We love you guys" I said, trying to hide my quivering voice.
I close my eyes and I heard tsukishima whispering.
"We...will always be together....I'll see you in our next life..."
I smiled.
"Please find me once again..." I said, smiling.
