"Hey, you."
"Hey baby. I missed you."
"You know I can't stay long..."
"Shh, baby. Let's make this fun while it lasts, yeah?"
He takes one hand up and down my legs slowly, making patterns with his fingers to calm me down. The other was on the steering wheel.
"Where are we going tonight?"
"It's a suprise..." he dragged on the last word with a cheeky smile on his face. I laugh at him and shake my head.
"But baaaaaaabe..."
"No! Let me surprise you just this one time." I really don't know why, but he's always so big on the surprises.
"Fine," I say blankly, rolling my eyes at him, but still smiling.
We bump down the road and end up at an empty field. We get out of the car and intertwine our fingers together as we walk into the field, not going anywhere in particular. I loved the times like this, where nothing is holding us back or getting in the way of us, its just us.
"Ashton."
"Yes?"
I let out a deep sigh before responding. "I really don't like this sometimes."
"What do you mean, Lilli?"
"I mean I hate that we can't see each other all the time, you know?"
"But we see each other almost every day."
"Well yes, but still I want more." I look up at him with a sad look. He sees me and sighs.
"I don't know why this isn't enough. I just don't know-"
"Oh come on-"
"Don't interrupt me!" He says, slightly raising his voice.
"Don't raise your voice at me!" I was getting just as annoyed now.
"Look babe, I don't know what you-"
I cut him off again. "You know exactly what I mean. You're not real, Ashton. You are not real."
