The Confession Tree

It was a lovely evening, the gentle razes of sunlight falling onto the beautiful scenery below. A beautiful church house with a bell ringing its own loud yet poetic sound filling the air, making doves fly away from the harsh noise. 

There Nene stood in front of a fountain, its water spilling ever so perfectly down each of its tiers framing her in a princess-like dress

'Amane, You're such a brave, and wonderful guy. Caring for others, staying after school to clean the bathrooms, even fighting scary supernatural creatures . . . No ordinary boy could possibly be able to ' 

Amane stared at her lovingly as she held his hands in hers 

'Please, let me give you a kiss for all your troubles' Nene said as she leaned in, Amane closed his eyes as he nodded and leaned into her 'Right'

Then he heard the very familiar sound of the ghost haunting the willow tree 'Hmmm? A kiss, from me? How silly' The ghost said as she covered her mouth in glee 'How cute~'

Amane then jolted up from his seat and yelled "NOOOOooo ... ooh?" the end came out more like a question as he realized that he was still in class, every one of his classmates and the teacher staring at him confused some even trying to hold in their laughter "S-sorry sensai" Amane said meekly as he slid down into his desk

During gardening class, I was helping out watering the plants

'That was embarrassing' I thought to myself as I walked towards the water tap 'It's been almost a month since I met Tsubaki-chan, and I don't think anything good came from it'  I reached for the tap and noticed fish scales growing on the top of my hand 'Will I ever be a normal human again. . .' I wondered as I dried my hand 'Don't be a damn pessimist Amane! You can't keep running away or avoiding your problems, even Tsu-chan, so be positive.' I yelled to myself as I shook my head 'I did some good things, Yeah! I got to meet and save the Mokke and I helped save Aoi from the Misaki Stairs, I met Yako and then-' as soon as that came to mind so did the kiss

"AAAAAAAAAND THERE WAS THAT!! THAT WAS NOT A GOOD THING!!" I yelled out loud while filling up my plastic watering can, I huffed as I finished yelling and closing to tap

'This is all Tsubaki's Fault! That came out of nowhere and I've never been kissed before!! Why would a ghost like her do that anyways!?' I questioned while walking to the plants I hadn't finished watering yet 'Wait, don't tell me' I froze up thinking

'D-does she like me!!?' I turned white as I continued watering the veggies 'Now that I look back, it makes so much sense! Like that time she said to choose her, and when she held my face and how she willingly helped me and Nene out with Aoi. Don't tell me that's way she saved me from the mermaid!!'

"Uh amane? are you ok" Nene asked as she put her hand on my shoulder "You look paler than normal"

"Yeah, and you're making funny faces~" Aoi continued as she held a pot in her hand

"A-AOI, NENE, COME WITH ME! I NEED YOUR OPTIONS!" I yelled as I dragged them into the greenhouse. After explaining the situation about me and Tsubaki, I patiently waited for their thoughts

"I think . . ." Nene started "She Likes You!!" Aoi finished, I could tell my face was flushed red "Y-you really think so" I stuttered out covering my red face

"Of course!" Aoi said excitedly "I mean, why else would she have kissed out of nowhere, That's the only explanation!" Nene continued

"B-but I'm not interested in her! Plus she doesn't seem to be my type anyways" I sheepishly said while rubbing my neck "Really? What's she like then?" They both said in unison "W-ell uh," I stuttered out, it's scary how much they're alike "She doesn't really have a presence(she's a ghost), she has these (cute) big, round eyes, she's taller than me . . . Oh! and she's good at fighting"
