The Sea

Author's Note: This is just me testing 1st person writing and putting it in practice.

The sea is a well known place, lots of people go there for many reasons:

Entertainment,
Exploration, 
Work, and etc.

Me? What am I doing here? Well...

I want to say goodbye.

I've lost everything in my life, I'm even losing my body to some illness that's too late to treat. Many people have done this, animals too so I shouldn't be scared of treading through the depths.

I guess what's scaring me is the rumours on this particular body of water. I drove far and wide for this particular sea just because of the rumors.

What are the rumors? Glad you asked.

Rumours say that if you walked through this sea, an eldritch being will appear to you in your final breaths. It comes to you offering a final wish before you die before it consumes you. 

Now I know it's ridiculous to come here to die because of a rumor but I'm already dying so...
