Hey guys, this is the first time I've been on Wattpad in a while, but I'm excited to show you my Sokeefe fanfiction! Please keep the chat clean and be nice to each other!!! (Go ukraine) Also, I didn't really get into the detail of Sophie's reaction to the letter, that's in my coming fanfic. Just so you know, it starts off very intense. But I hope you guys like it!

Sophie lifted her head, and watched as Keefe was shoved into the pit. A loud thump rang out around the cave, and Sophie cringed, taking a silent step forward.

Keefe had been captured about a month ago, and Sophie had finally found him. The cave that they were in right now had the mystical plants that would kill someone if they used their ability while touching them. They were called MorningShade. Sophie assumed that they kept one on Keefe at all times, to stop him from using the commands.

"Keefe," The middle figure said, lifting her hood off her head. Lady Gisela spoke to her son, her back turned to Sophie. "If you stopped struggling, this would be a whole lot easier. I don't like hurting you."

"Funny." Sophie's heart clenched as she heard Keefe's voice, breaking, but not broken. Not yet. "Cause that's all you seem to do to me. Don't pretend you care. We all know you don't."

Gisela sighed, and shook her head. "Keefe, I've said it a thousand times, and I'll say it again. I'm not the bad guy here."

Keefe scoffed, and Sophie could image the scowl on his face with ease. "Sure, mother." The last word came out of his mouth with venom. Lady Gisela turned around, whispered something to the guards, and walked out, a few feet away from Sophie.

The two people left just put a Bottle of Youth and a sandwich on the ring of the pit. "Have fun, pretty boy." One of them said. The other just snapped, and a ring of criss-crossed metal appeared on the top of the pit with a large bang. They both left laughing, and Sophie saw a dirty hand reach through the bars and grab the bottle.

A soft thump reached Sophie's ears, and harsh sobs rang around the room. Sophie's heart broke, but she had to make sure that no one was coming back into the room. Sophie slipped through the illusion, and walked over to the door, silently pulling the steel bar over the lock.

Then she ran over to the pit, and peered down. In the very middle of the pit was a blond, dirty boy, whose head was down. Keefe's body shook with suppressed sobs, and he said, head still facing the floor. "You're not as silent as you think you are. Just do it already."

Keefe looked up, and they both gasped at the same time.

"Foster?" Keefe whispered, looking up. Then he shook his head. "No. I know this one, mom. You tried this on the second day. Remember? I'm n-not going to f-fall for that again."

His voice trembled, and Sophie saw how hard it was for him to not break down. But she was still reeling from his appearance.

When he had looked up, Sophie had seen a clear view of him. His right eye was black, both were red and puffy. A little cut was openly bleeding at the top of his forehead, leaking blood into his eye. Blood was flowing freely from his arms, and both were bright red from what Sophie assumed to be burns. From what she could tell from the rips in his shirt, that wasn't all that was bleeding.

Now that she thought about it, the room smelled of blood. Only blood. It was so overwhelming that she had to close her eyes and count her breaths to stay steady.

"No, Keefe, it's me."

Keefe shook his head, looking up slightly. Sophie saw the tears falling down his cheeks, and she wanted nothing more than to reach in and hug him. "No. No, no, no, no. I know this isn't real. I know I'm never going to be saved. I understand that. Please, j-just don't rub it in." Keefe wiped his face, and sniffed. "Just do it already. Throw down the knife or whatever today's is. I know this isn't real."

He whispered the last part to himself, more tears streaming down his cheeks. Sophie called down. "It's me, I'm gonna get you out, okay? Team Foster-Keefe. Just don't give up."

She pulled the ring of metal, and Keefe started hyperventilating. "Stop! Just Stop! Mom! I know this isn't real! I know no one cares! Please, stop. Stop, stop, stop." He wrapped his arms around himself. "Please. I know this isn't real. Please, s-stop."

He was palling quickly.. Sophie knew she needed to get this open before he fainted. She just looked at the middle, and imagined planting a seed in the middle. It grew, until the whole thing exploded, some hitting Keefe straight on the head.

He fell to the ground, and Sophie jumped in there, walking towards him. Keefe just jumped up, and backed away, limping and holding his right arm. "No. No. No. No. Please. STOP!" The last word was shouted, but it wasn't a command.

Sophie felt her own tears drip down her cheeks, and she just ran forward and hugged him. Keefe was struggling at first, twisting this way and that, still moaning and crying. Eventually, he calmed, and put his arms around her. "I-is it r-really y-y-you?" He asked, stuttering and trembling like crazy. Sophie just nodded, squeezing him even tighter.

"Come on, we're gonna get you out of here." Sophie said. She hugged him for a moment more, then let go and grabbed his hand. "Do you think you can levitate?"

Keefe was still staring at her in shock, but he nodded numbly. She tightened her grasp on his hand and levitated a few inches, just enough to let him know they were going. Keefe looked at her, and looked down at his feet. He started levitating, and soon they were out of the whole. When they stepped back on the ground, Keefe groaned and collapsed.

Sophie rushed over to him, her worry nearly making her sick. He closed his eyes for a moment, then stood back up. Keefe sucked a breath of air in through his teeth, and would have fallen if Sophie hadn't had grabbed his arm.

Unfortunately, it was the bad one.

Keefe groaned as Sophie shifted and let go of his arm to grab the other one. A little trail of blood had followed them from the pit, and a pool of it was gathering at Keefe's feet. Sophie needed to get him out of here. Now.

They walked slowly, going through the illusion Sophie had been hiding in, and walking up the staircase, taking occasional breaks. When they finally emerged from underground, they were in the middle of a forest, and someone was waiting for them.

Sophie reached for a throwing star, before seeing the person properly. It was Tam.

"Tam!" Sophie said, putting the weapon back in her pocket. "What are you doing here?"

Tam shrugged. "I followed you. Like any decent friend would do." He walked over and pulled Keefe's other arm over his shoulder. "Come on. Everyone was worried sick when you were missing."

Sophie shifted to see Keefe's face, but his eyes were closed and his face pinched. "Okay." Sophie said, pulling out her home crystal. "Let's go home."
