Part 1

-Moon-

I dashed inside the house, breathing heavily. The werewolf attacked the door for a while, before giving up and going back to its pack.

Sometimes I wish they atleast didn't let the wolves shift whenever they pleased, maybe it'd be easier to deal with. Oh well.

I slumped down against the door and sighed. Life was so shitty. Jess raced to me and hugged me tightly, " Your back!!" She giggled and nuzzled against me.

Jess... Jess, she, she was special. That company giving sanctuary to these creatures wanted her, something about her being an impossible hybrid. A mix of a vampire and a fairy, which they all thought was an impossible mix. She's nothing like the monsters outside though, she has emotions and aspirations, I hope that one day she'd be able to pursue them.

I returned her hug, " Hey kid.. Where's Isabel?"
She looked down and fidgeted with her hands, " Um.. I wanted to get her flowers and um.. A vampire killed her while she was getting me back inside.." She sniffled and hid her face in my chest, starting to cry.
I held her and helped her calm down.

Isabel was my girlfriend, she helped me take care of Jess. I had hoped we all would survive.. But now..

She kept crying and crying, " I'm sorry!! I-I just wanted to get her something that was as pretty as her, I didn't mean to get her killed!"
I picked her up and kissed her head, "Hey calm down kid.. It's not your fault. Those things move a billion miles and kill in a second it seems. It wasn't your fault and there was nothing you could do to save her." I put her in her bed.
She sniffled and just nodded, hugging onto her stuffed animal deer. I kissed her head again, telling her dinner would be ready soon. I walked into the kitchen and sighed at the shape of our food supply. I made something simple but should keep us full for a while, plus some blood for her and called her in the room. She came running and I gave her the food and her drink. She took them with a smile, but frowned at seeing the patch on my wrist, " Why do you hurt yourself?"
I sat down at the table with her, " It doesnt hurt, and it's hard to get blood bags without being suspicious, it's for your own good kid."
She sighed and nodded, eating her food.

She asked me this everyday. It's becoming harder and harder to get blood for her, so I needed to give her my blood. I had hoped the fairy thing canceled out the blood thing but that was just wishful thinking. It's worth it though, I love the kid like she's my own blood.

I tucked her into bed and gave her a kiss good night after dinner. I went to my own room and got on my own phone, texting an old friend.

'Hey, how are you holding up? Found any blood bags yet?'

He responsed almost immediately.

'Things could be better man. I found a couple for when they feed the vampires there holding for sale here, not sure how I could get it to you without getting caught'

'So once drugs were irrelevant they switched to supernaturals? Hm. Don't get yourself killed. If it's too risky don't grab them, there will be other chances.'

'This is the first chance there's been for months! You can't feed her your blood forever yknow, your body can't handle that. I won't get myself killed.'

'Do you know if there still after her? She's 14 now.'

'I overheard some guys talking about her, I knew it was her because they called her a blood fairy. They said that the Starshine place will pay hundreds of thousands of dollars just for a location. It's getting riskier to keep her.'

'I don't care if she's risky to keep, I'll keep her safe until I take my last breath. I love her, she's my daughter.'

'I know, I'm just saying. I'll come by later with the blood and food. How's Isabel doing?'

'A leech got to her while I was checking the traps'

'Sorry for that man. I'll pick up some beer then too, see ya soon.'

I set my phone down with a sigh. I get under the ccover, yawning.

He had a key to the house, he could wake me up when he got here..

I drifted off to sleep quickly

" Why are we here again?" I turned to my boyfriend, who just shrugged.
" I found a job for us, pays well. The girl said to come here to discuss details."
I nodded and waited with him. A truck backed up in front of us, and a girl jumped out of the back, " Hey boys."
" Whats the job?" We didn't have time for this.
She smiled, " Straight forward I like it." She banged on a cage behind her, and something attacked the door with a loud growl.
" What the hell is that?!"
She smiled, " Vampire, it's abilities have been enhanced a lot. It's trained to kill it's target."
" What's it target?"
She holds up a laser pointer, "Whatever or whoever this points at. Once it does your dead."
" So what do we do with it?"
She climbed up on the top of truck, "Well.. It needs fed before I send it to Starlight, and the money is worth more then your pathetic lives."
I grabbed my boyfriend and started to run as I heard the cage door open with a loud growl. Henry was ripped away from me, and I tried to save him. The vampire ripped through his throat, tearing his head off. I stared in shock, yelling at my body to move as it licked up the blood for a while. I kept yelling at my body to run as the laser pointer dot rested on me. It stood up and growled at me. If it wasn't covered in blood, and had fangs like that.. It would've looked human, like any other person. It jumped onto me, holding me against the ground as it dug into my neck. It hurt so much.. Then there was peaceful bliss.

The girl smirked as both boys laid dead, her money ticket eagerly licking up the blood. She pointed the laser dot back inside the cage, and it went back inside and she closed the door. She got back in the truck and drove towards Starlight. Those guys were gonna have there hands full with her little pet here, and she laughed at the thought.
