Part 2

-Jess-

I hugged Uncle Ash as he showed up, "Uncle Ash your here!!"
He hugged me back, " Hey kiddo." He grabbed some things out of his truck and went inside with me. He set everything on the counter, and turned back to me, " Where's your dad?"
I pointed at his room, and he walked off.

Alone again.

I went outside, I was safe because I wasn't human like daddy. He said my real parents left me, which is sad I guess but daddy is way better then they are!!

I wondered down the trail that went through the woods, looking around at everything.

The forest was so pretty! I wish I could show daddy but he could get hurt.

I saw eyes watching me from the trees, and I hugged my arms and kept walking. I tripped over something and sat up, looking at what I tripped on. It was a puppy! Hurt too.. I picked up the puppy and ran back home. I took it to my room, running to the kitchen to grab bandages, then I came back and patched up their wounds.
" Poor puppy.. I'll name you Misty!" I hug it, then setting it in bed and covering it up in the blanket. I left my room, closing the door behind me. I went to daddys room, and knocked on the door.
He answered it, " What's up kid?"
" What are you and uncle talking about?"
" Grown up stuff."
" I'm grown up! I'm 14!"
" Not grown up enough."
I pouted and went back to my room, shutting my door behind me. The puppy was tearing up my blanket so I picked it up, " Calm down puppy!"
It turned into a boy about my age. He had dark hair and bright green eyes. He shoved away from me, " Stay away from me vampire!" He growled at me.
I gave him some clothes since he was nakey, " I won't hurt you puppy, get dressed."
He grabbed the clothes from me and put them on, " Why am I here?"
" Well I found you in the woods hurt, so I brought you here and helped you!"
" Why?"
" Because you needed help!"
" How do you have a house? My dad tells me stories about how we used to be able to live in houses until humans tried to kill us all."
" I live here with my daddy! He said that supernaturals tried to kill all the humans?"
" Your dads full of shit, the winners always tell the story so that they are the victims and heros."
" Oh.." I sit on my bed and hug my arms.
He sits by me, " How's he your dad, you don't have the scent of human, besides his and another male human."
" He took me in when my parents abandoned me, and Uncle Ash came to visit! Though he didn't say much to me before he and daddy started talking about adult stuff."
" Well your a vampire, can't you listen in?"
" I can do that??"
He laughs, " You really have been raised by humans haven't you?"
I pout, " Shush! How do I do the hearing thing?"
He shrugs, " Just focus on them, you should be able to hear them. I get in so much trouble for listening in on my dad."
I nodded and tried to focus on daddy, and I started to hear what he was talking about, " It's working!"
" Awesome! Uh.. My names Storm what's yours?"
I hugged him, " Im Jess!"
He returned my hug, " Uh thanks for not letting me die out there."
I nodded, " No problem!" I got up, "I'm gonna give get us some food! What do you like?"
" I've never had human food before."
I gasp, " Shut up really?!"
He shrugs, " I like deer."
I grabbed onto his hand and dragged him to the kitchen, stuffing a cookie in his mouth.
He ate it quickly, " That's good! What is it?"
" A cookie! Daddy makes them for me sometimes."
" Can I have another?"
I nod and hand him one, and we both eat in silence for a while. I bring him back to my room when we finished off all the cookies. I took out one of the board games daddy gave me and showed him how to play.

After a while daddy came in the room, " Jess did you- who the hell is that?"
I look up at him nervously, " Uh.. This is my new friend, Storm."
" Where did he come from?" He reaches for a knife in his pocket.
I stand up, " H-he was on the porch hurt! He needed help and I helped him!"
He sighs and puts the knife away, just nodding before leaving us alone. I sat down again and sighed in relief. Storm came back out from hiding behind my bed. We went back to our game.

When it was really dark out he hugged me, " I should be getting home.. My pack is probably really worried about me."
" Your pack?'
" My family."
" Oh. I'll show you out, your welcome here whenever!"
He nodded and smiled, and I lead him onto the porch. He hugged me again before turning back into a fluffy puppy and taking off into the woods. I went back inside and daddy gave me dinner.

I made a friend that's kinda like me!!

-Storm-

I ran back towards the den, colliding into my dad. I rolled back a bit and got up. " Uh.. Hi dad."
He growled at me, " Where have you been? And why do you have human and vampire scent all over you?!"
" I-its nothing!" I went to move past him, but he stopped me and kept questioning me.
" I think you were frolicking around with people you shouldn't." He growled lowly at me.
" I-its not like that!! Uh, I-i tried to get something cool I saw inside a house and a vampire was there killing the humans who lived there, and it tried to kill me too but um I got away but lost everything I grabbed."
He glared at me, not talking.

I'm so dead.

He just grumbled and walked off, and I sighed in relief. I went inside the den and found my litter mates.

Today has been interesting, that's for sure. I didn't know vampires COULD be kind but I guess I was wrong. Jess was weird but also cool. I think I might visit her again soon.
