Trishika's P.O.V:

I'm on cloud nine these days and it feels so alien to me. I mean, all these years what I have did is to only work and grind all day every day, and now when it finally feels like I'm alive again, ofcourse I need some time to adjust to this new change.

Ajey and I were on the terrace of my house at literally 2 at night, while everyone was asleep in the house.

Well, tomorrow is the mehndi ceremony and I haven't been signed much work for it by mom. So I guess, I can sleep a little late without worrying about tomorrow.

If someone came up and saw us together, they'll easily think about the wrong things but I care less about that.

-"So now tell me one thing, Ajey, I didn't get the chance to ask you about it. So, may I?"
I asked Ajey in enquiry.

-"Yeah?"

-"What made you come to Lucknow after so long? I mean, have you got any relatives over here or is it something else? You roaming around the streets and Anuradha aunty meeting Maa isn't normal, you know."
I muttered.

-"Haven't you checked your Instagram in a while?"
He replied to me with a chuckle.

-"Nah, man. Was too busy with the preparations for Bhaiya's wedding. Still am."
I said in a displeased tone, sipping my coffee.

-"Mhm, I see. Open the app and check my profile, you'll get the answer."
He said to me casually as he too, sipped on his coffee.

I took out my phone from my bottom's pocket and opened the Instagram app and searched for Ajey's profile and there it was! My answer!

His latest post was a picture of him in a formal suit, holding a black metallic award in his hands and a wide smile was plastered on his face.

So he was here for an event and he won?!

-"Damn, Ajey! You won the award!?? Congratulations, you don't know how happy I am, man!!"
I spoke while jumping in excitement and glee.

A bright smile crept onto his lips and when I realised that I was the reason for it, I couldn't be happier.

-"Seriously man, I'm so proud of yo-"
I spoke again but cut myself off at the end.

Shit, what did I just say?? How does it matter to him if I am proud of him? I have no right over him to say that. Why am I so dumb, God. I always embarrass myself.

I facepalmed myself in embarassment and the next thing I knew, to my surprise was that he was laughing heartily.

-"Keep going, Trishika. Say that. Nobody did."
He said in between his chuckles.

-"I-
I didn't mean that, Ajey. I'm sorry."
I muttered an apology.

-"Arey nhi, seriously, please say what you were going to say. Nobody in my family said that to me. And even though I know they are proud, it's just that they find it hard to express. So please go on saying it, it feels like home."
Spoke Ajey in a soft voice.
