CHRIS POV
There’s something beautiful about waking up with Mina in my bed, with her laying against me and her arms wrapped around me. The soft smile on her beautiful face is something I will forever cherish. Her baby bump presses into my side and I can feel the sudden kicks into my side.
I rest my hand on the side of her stomach, waiting for it to happen again. “Come on baby girl, kick again so daddy can feel.” I encourage.
A quick jab to the palm of my hand follows and a smile fills my face. Mina begins to stir, murmuring about being kicked in the ribs. She yawns and her big blue eyes open, “are you two having fun?” She says with a smile.
“She started kicking and I couldn’t resist.” I explain, pressing a kiss to Mina’s cheek.
“You couldn’t resist waking me up or getting the baby to wake me up?”
I lift Mina into my lap so she straddles my hips and then guide her face down to mine. I give her a soft, passionate good morning kiss before saying, “if it was me waking you up, you’d know. Trust and believe, baby. My cock is always more than happy to wake you up.”
Her eyes brighten with a lustful tinge, “is that still an option?”
“Only if you ride your master’s cock all the way to the end.” I posit.
Her smile grows, “Of course I will.”
…
“So what do you think of the name Allegra?” I ask.
She wrinkles her nose, “you mean the allergy medication? You want to ruin her life with the name of a sinus med?”
I laugh, “so that’s a no?”
“Uh yeah. What about Astrid, or Europa?” She suggests, turning a page in the baby book.
“That sounds like something an old homeless guy would yell.” I shake my head. “But I like Astrid.”
“Ooh, this is pretty. Elara, it’s from greek mythology, the mother of the giant Tityos.” She points to the name, giving me a chance to read the meaning and origin.
“It’s beautiful. I’ll add it to the list along with Astrid.” I write them down on the shortest goddamn list of baby names in history.
For some stupid reason I assumed that naming our daughter would be easy, instead it’s complicated. Mina is invariably picky, but considering it’s our baby I can understand why. I don't want to condemn our daughter to some shit name, not that Mina would ever let that happen.
SARA POV
I place the plates down on the table and stare blankly at the wall, my thoughts consuming me again. I could barely sleep last night knowing that Chris has his ex-girlfriend locked up in the spare bedroom. That he's lying to Mina about it and thinks that he's going to get away with it.
I love him and care for him like family, in some ways he is my only family but when he threatened me, it made me question everything. Does he just keep me around because he knows I won't tell and that I clean up all his messes? That no matter what I've always stuck by his side?
What has he gotten himself into now that he's to the point of kidnapping? It's been years since I've seen Cheyenne, when they were together they seemed so happy, then she was gone. I can't wrap my head around the fact that he has her locked up like an animal now.
Last night I fed her when Mina and Chris were asleep, just like he told me. It was deathly quiet aside from the sounds of Cheyenne's muffled breathing. The poor thing nearly had a heart attack when I woke her up to feed her.
