A Hidden Presence Becomes Known

The air was still. Not a sound could be heard except the slow, gentle breathing of little Amber.. She lay asleep in her bed unaware of the demonic presence just feet away from her. The dark figure stood in the corner of the room almost invisible for he blended with the shadows. All you could make out were two crimson red orbs quite far apart from eachother. Amber shuffled around in her covers. The dark figure hovered almost as quick as light to Amber's bedside. Amber leaned over and opened her tired eyes. Her bright, blue eyes met the gaze of the creature's dark, deep, red eyes. She was frozen in fear. She blinked once more and the creature had vanished. She went back to sleep taking it as a dream. About an hour had passed. Amber was still asleep. She now had her large, stuffed hippo wrapped tightly in her arms. The demonic presence had returned. It now stood in front of Amber's bed stand. Amber awoke of the feeling of something pressing down on her bed. She shuffled and looked down at her legs. The dark creature was on all fours standing above Amber. His legs were bent like a spider but were as straight as a table. Amber once again met it's gaze. She could distinguish it's features now. He had a large grin. His teeth were as long and sharp as steak knives. Blood dripped from his red orbs he considered eyes. Amber couldn't move. She tried to scream but nothing came out of her mouth. The creature murmured between his teeth,
"I will see you again, darling."
Amber blinked and the creature was gone.
