Chapter 3 - Class 1-A Orientation

As Y/N stepped up to the runners mark of the first activity he took his shoes off and he released his quirk, this time focusing on his feet. They grew long and clawed. As they changed his heart started to beat a bit fast, one of the side effects of his quirk. He tried to take a few deep breaths to steady it before a voice broke his concentration.

"You're quirk affects your legs too, I see. I'd like to introduce myself since I'm afraid my first impression was rather lacking." The boy next to Y/N spoke up all of the sudden startling the half-wolf. "My name is Tenya Iida. I hope we have a productive year together." He said while holding his hand out.

"O-Oh! Thanks, me too. I'm Y/N L/N... it's nice to meet you, Iida." Y/N said shaking his hand before they and a girl with long green hair took their marks as a camera robot spoke, "Runners on your marks! Ready? GO!" It popped as the three took off. Iida took first, but only by a second at 3.04 seconds. Y/N was able to take the second with 4.06 seconds using his wolf legs to bound forwards in long strides rather than run faster. After sliding to a stop he transformed his legs back to normal with a small smile. He was excited to find that transforming was getting ever-so-slightly easier, but the excitement was damped at noticing he still couldn't stay calm while shifted even out of battle.

"Hey, Y/N!" Y/N heard a voice call as he put his shoes back on. He looked up to see Jiro waving to him, not noticing the tall girl with a big ponytail next to her. Y/N smiled and ran over to her before realizing it wasn't just Jiro.

"J-Jiro, hi..." He said shyly, very aware of the company that they had. Jiro looked at Y/N quizzically before realizing introduction were needed.

"Ah! Sorry, L/N this is Momo Yaoyorozu. Yaoyorozu, this is Y/N L/N." She said as Y/N held his hand out awkwardly. Yaoyorozu smiled before returning his gesture.

"It's very nice to meet you, L/N! I must say you have an impressive quirk, may I ask what it is?" She said as Jiro looked to Y/N.

"Oh yeah, Y/N, you turned your hands into claws during the entrance exam, right? What else can you wolf-ify?" Jiro asked as Y/N tilted his head a bit. He had never really thought about it before.

"Well, changing my hands and feet just comes naturally to me, although I suppose I've never really tried to change anything else if I'm being honest..." He trailed off as he covered his mouth a bit and whispered, "my fangs never go away, though... I've tried."

Jiro frowned a bit at that before smirking and tapped his ears with her earphone jacks, "What about your ears, huh? Do you grow fluffy wolf ears? What about a tail?" She teased as Y/N face grew a shade of pink and tried to stammer out a response. Yaoyorozu smiled at the sight before she noticed everyone else was finished and were moving on to the next activity. She motioned to the pair and the three joined the rest of the class.

As Y/N held the grip device of the second activity, he focused on only transforming his hand and forearm. He was surprised when he saw the 226kg that flashed on the device when he gripped it. Quickly shifting his hand back, Jiro came over and looked at his result after parting with Yaoyorozu as she left to talk to another classmate.

"Woah, 226?! I didn't think you're quirk made you that strong!" She said as Y/N looked at his hand, "Yeah, neither did I..." He shook his head before looking up at everyone moving on, "If you're done, wanna head to the next activity?" He asked as she nodded, "Yeah, my score was pretty average. Not all of our quirks give us freakish wolf strength." She teased as they walked towards the third event, the standing long jump.

Taking off his shoes he transformed his feet into the long paws of a wolf once again. Stepping up to the point he tensed his legs before letting loose and pouncing forward landing far past the sand pit. He looked to Jiro and as they shared a small smile, he jogged up to her.
