i feel like i must explain, but the next chapters are continuations of ayano endings- not rival endings, which is why the rivals will either not be present, or no longer a main character in the chapter.

i was walking around town after picking up some groceries per usual. and i stumbled across a bakery. it all smelled so nice. i couldn't help but go inside. just a small pasty wouldn't hurt. i smiled to myself.
i looked around, the bakery had a prominent mint green and baby pink color scheme. it was quite nice. after looking around for some time, i found a pastry i quite liked. it looked flaky and was dusted with powdered sugar.
"excuse me?" i asked. a young girl, around my age popped up from the back. "can i have this pastry?" i asked. she nodded and quickly made her way over to the case.
"this one is one of my favorites. i'm sure you'll enjoy it too." she smiled. "anything else?"
"that's all." she nodded and went to ring me up.
"that'll be 599 yen." i nodded and dig into my pocket for a few coins and- there was nothing there.
"a-ah... give me a second-" i muttered and dig into my other pockets. twice, but nothing. "s-sorry, i can't pay for it." i hung my head.
"oh no worries! you can have it." i looked up and she had a smile on her face, and blushing.
"really? thank you!" i said. she handed it to me in the small paper bag.
"if you don't mind me asking, what school do you go to?"
"oh, i go to akademi." i said, putting the small bag into my larger grocery bag.
"oh i go there too! i'm the president of the cooking club!"
"really?" i thought about it. "oh yes! amai odayaka right?i haven't seen you around in a while!" i said.
"oh yeah- just business and stuff y'know? i'll be returning on monday, tomorrow."
"oh okay! i hope to see you."
"me too! see you tomorrow." i grinned and turned around to walk away. how nice.

i groaned as i woke up per usual, with osana banging on my door. i got up and opened it to her roaring at me.
"s-sorry..." i said, yawning.
"you better be. c'mon, we actually have time today. i decided to come her early to make sure you were awake idiot." she huffed.
i got ready and osana waited for me downstairs. we walked to school but the walk was quieter than usual...
"so um... what did you do this weekend?" osana asked.
"oh, nothing much. but i did come across the president of the cooking club. she has a bakery, who knew." i shrugged while looking up the sky. it was late winter, early spring. the sakura buds were beginning to sprout from the trees. soon this street would be littered with the beautiful blossoms.
"o-oh... are you guys... friends?" osana seemed to be out of it. more different and depressed than usual. i stopped.
"osana... what's wrong? really, please tell me."
"um..." she seemed to be tearing up. "to be truthful... my cat was kidnapped! a-and..." she began crying.
"osana..." i hugged her tightly while rubbing her back.
"ayano got it back for me. ayano aishi. i don't know how to repay her." she sobbed quietly. "she didn't want any payment..." osana seemed to pause at her words.
"wow. i guess aishi is more misunderstood than i thought." ayano aishi. a quiet girl. she seems to dabble in a little bit of everything. i don't know her very well. she's a little weird. but she went through the selfless task of retrieving osanas cat. i'll be sure to thank her later.
"c'mon osana, we can't be late... dummy." i muttered the last part. osana looked up at me and giggled.
"yeah." she composed herself as we continued walking to school. when we arrived she went up raiburu. i waved her off and went to the fountain per usual. i finally have time today.
i sighed as i heard some scrambling around the fountain. i looked around and noticed some cooking club members setting up food stands- most likely for lunch... cooking club... amai!
i stood up and looked around. i didn't see her unfortunately. i sighed and sat down and the bell rang immediately after i sat. packed up and headed to class for another boring day.
i looked outside for most of the period, it was a cloudy day. not that i have anything against them, they're actually quite nice, and indicate rain which i also enjoy. i yawned and the period passed faster than expected.
i went out and back to the courtyard. the cooking club members were already at their stations with a few walking around. and i saw her! amai! i slowly approached her.
"yes! please take one!" she smiled.
"um- hi." i said. she looked at me and blushed.
"h-hi! i'm sorry i don't think i got your name last time, what was it?"
"l/n y/n, feel free to call me y/n!"
"of course! would you like to try some cookies i made?"
"sure." i took one from the plate she had. i bit into it and was immediately surprised. it was light and fluffy, like a cake? but the outside was still a little crispy. "wow... these are really good!"
"thank you." she giggled and i smiled. "if you joined the cooking club, i would totally teach you!"
"oh, sure. i haven't joined a club before..."
"no worries, i'll help you!" i suddenly noticed aishi walk by, and she had her phone in hand. huh. most people didn't have their phones out during lunch. she quickly walked passed a girl and i noticed her phone brushed against the girls skirt. "y/n? are you okay?" amai asked.
"huh? o-oh... yeah."
"if your ever feeling sick, stop by the club room, i'll make you something."
"oh, yeah thanks amai." her blush deepened when i said her name. is she the one not feeling okay? "amai are you okay? your face is really red..." she gasped and covered her face with her free hand.
"yeah i'm fine... take another cookie before you go!" she reached the plate out to me.
"thanks!" i took one and went back to my usual seat during lunch. i yawned. i was quite tired today. i sighed and felt my eyes get heavy. i laid down on the bench and...
