Who Cares: Chapter 4

Viola's POV:
As soon as Jc took a seat next to me, the professor came in and spoke to us about our abilities. How to discover them and whatnot.
What was weird, though, was that he was watching Jc and I for most of the lesson...

{Time skip to lunch...

Skippity skip skip}

I'm walking into the cafeteria to buy some lunch, when a group of girls come up to me and purposely block my path. "What do you want?" I grumble, anger lacing my tone. They were the girls who started saying stuff to me in class and also the ones who invited the whole class to join in with their comments.
"I came here, bitch," She emphasizes the word and glares daggers into me, "to tell you that nobody likes you, and to back off. Jc is mine." With that, she lifts her foot stomps on my tail that is hanging low above the ground because of its long aspect.  I yelp in pain quietly and she takes this to swivel around and walk over to the table that Jc is sitting. With that, she starts shamelessly flirting with him.

Ugh, I hate girls and their hormones.

I've never actually been friends with girls. In fact, I've never had any friends - excluding family - in the entirety of my life.
As I try to move my tail, I muffle a scream in pain.
She must have broken it...

I  decide to skip lunch and run to the nurse's office but it's hard to see because of the cursed tears that cloud my vision.
I accidentally bump into someone. Its a guy and- woah he's kind of cute. He's tall and has brown hair also brown eyes and his ears... they're dyed. If i wasnt looking close enough, I would've completely skimmed over the details.
As my tears fade for a brief second, I look closer to see the dye fading on a certain part to show a bit of the original fur.

Oh my gosh...

He's a cheetah.
"I'm so sorry." I say quickly as the pain of my broken tail shot through my body, causing the tears to come back. I tilt my head down to hide my face and keep walking towards the office, the tears falling down my cheeks.
"Wait " He calls to me. I stop and hunch my shoulders, turning slightly so that I was looking at him through my lashes.
"What's your name?" He asks, his eyes skimming over me.
"Are you getting my name so you can tell the whole school to tease the freak?" I asked rhetorically, before continuing so he couldn't say anything.
I didn't want to hear anything from anyone here anymore.
"Yeah, sorry, but I'm not giving you my name." I say sharply and, without waiting for a reply, I just run off again.

"Well your tail's not broken, but you will have to wrap it up for two weeks to let it heal." The woman informs me.
"Okay, thank you." I say quietly. When the nurse finishes wrapping my tail, I walk back to my 2nd class of the day, a note in my hand saying why I'm late.
I walk in and realize I can't participate because its fighting  and my tail was injured because that stupid bitch stepped on it. I spot Jc talking to that guy I ran into. They look at me and the tall one whispers something to Jc before they look at me again. "I wonder what thats all about." I mutter to myself and avert my eyes towards the teacher. I hang my head slightly, walking up to him and handing him the note.

"Okay." He says simply, nodding breifly and I go sit down on the seats in the gym.

I pull out my phone from my pocket and see a message from my mum. I open up the text and stare at the screen.

{M = Mum V = Viola}

M - Hey darling, how's your first day? I sent your stuff up, it should be there on Wednesday xoxo ♡

V - Hi mum, it's good, and thanks I'll call you soon
Love you xoxo

M - Okay bye xx

When I look up from texting my mum, I find Jc and that guy standing in front of me.
