So you have this raging evil spirit Kitsune, Nekomata, Oni, Tengu, Whatever. And to appease that spirit some villagers sacrifice one person each year. One year it's Main Character-san, but here's the twist, when main character was a child they helped a less experienced whatever spirit that was in it's animal form, and thus, the spirit doesn't wanna kill it. In fact the spirit will do whatever the main character asks since it owns them their life.
