If you're a writer, you must have dealt with procrastination! It affects us all.

And there are 3 root causes of procrastination which you can identify today.

Lack of Clarity - The most important thing to keep yourself from procrastinating is to know your story. This means you should have a clear plan of what happens, when it happens, and why. You're likely putting off writing because you don't have clarity on this.

Lack of Passion - As a writer you should be absolutely inlove with every part of your story and every character you introduce. Dig deep and find one thing that drives you to write about these characters. Give them page-time because you want to, not because the plot calls for it. Writing and sharing this story should feel like a burning need.

Mindset - Take care of youself. Seriously, put your mental health first, have a daily self-care routine, keep your head and your physical space clean. Furthermore - celebrate small victories. Finished a page? Be grateful. Finished a chapter? Let youself feel happy about it!

What you should be aware of is that procrastination is stems for a deeper issue. Its your job to identify this and tackle it at its root.

Remember: Lack of Clarity, Lack of Passion, and Mindset.

All of this are fixable! Find what works for you and don't stop until you no longer believe in writer's block.
