We had to write a positive card and put them in a pile. The teacher called us up to pick a card. Trevor went up to get one 'Oi make sure you take the one by itself.' he wishpered to me. When I went to get one as Trevor told me to I took the one in the corner. Once everyone took a card we were told to open and read the card we picked. When I opened mine it read "Your eyes shine like gemstones". I never thought my eyes look like gems. When everyone read their cards we had free time. We all had chosen to go outside to the garden out front. I had decided to sit under the chery blossom tree, i put on my headphones and turned on some music. Later everyone went home. When the bus dropped me off at my house my dad was waiting at the front door for me. 'Hey son I have something to give you.' He said with a small smile. As we walk inside I see a package on the table. 'Hey dad what's that?' I said confused. 'That is what I what to show you.' He said with a soft voice. I walked over to the table and slowly opened the package, inside was a book. The title read "The Tale Of Piro". The name of the book sound oddly familiar. It was the book mom always read to me before I went to sleep! 'This is the book mom always read to me.' I said in a soft voice. 'She um wanted to give it to you for your birthday, but that didn't work out.' He said in a low voice. After the accident we never talked about mom, either of us wanted to relive that memory. Both of us didn't talk for a week after her death. I took the box up to my room still thinking about mom. Once I get to my room I sit down on my bed, I take the book out only to find a pouch. I hadn't noticed it before. I took out the pouch and opened it, inside was a bracelet. The most noticeable thing about it was the green gem in the center of the bracelet. On the bracelet was a note that read "try me on". I took the note off and put the bracelet on. I turned back to the box. At the every bottom of the box was a note that read " I hope you like your gift. - from mom". Don't worry mom I will always love this gift.
