Clop clop clop
A pair of blue boots step noisely over a concrete sidewalk. Belonging to a girl full of colour, who hums joyfully to the song in her head. Oblivious of the surroundings around her. For whips of black mist and dark ambience surounds her every corner. She bumps into a person, as she is caught in a daze. She looks up to see a man, who shows to have no life in his soul. He huffs a few words that pierces her tune.
"Whatch where you're going bitch"
She looks back and watches him leave, wondering to herself
"Why did he look like that?"
She continues to walk, feeling a twinge in her finger. She decides to look down and sees that it's black... as black as a void. She looks at it strangely and takes a look at her surroundings.
Lifeless souls surround every inch of her view. Blank faces mermering disgust, and many complaints. She looks down at her hand, and sees it turning black.
She begins to walk, her boots sounding rushed. She hums another tune, one less of joy. Her shoulder bumps into someone else, collapsing to the ground. They spit some words at her in frustration.
"Someone should take you back to the thriftstore to return those boots"
She climbes to her hands and knees, and surprises herself. Her whole arm is now turned into a black void.
She gets up, now nervous for her life. Her blue boots moving hurried across the concreet sidewalk. She begins to hum, but from stress and not joy. She hears mermers and whispers, now seeming to judge her.
"I can practically hear her outfit"
"She has no taste"
"Her hair is hideous"
"I wouldn't go in public like that"
After all that walking, she finally gets home. She slams her door, and collapses in defeat. Tears start raining from her eyes, like she's never cried before.
After an hour of crying she takes her face out of her hands, and sees a glimpse in the mirror. She doesn't see herself there... just a black outline, of where she would be sitting... she looked to the ground, and metered to herself.
"You're a worthless piece of shit... that just walks around in bright clothes..."
She places her forehead against her floor, and begins to sob.
"That's why they all looked like this..."
