1. Grounded

Hi this is my first ever fanfiction and I am kinda nervous on how it's gonna turn out. Also at the beginning of every chapter, I will put up a warning if there is any sexual or swearing etc. parts in it thx!!

!!THIS CHAPTER HAS A MILD AMOUNT OF SWEARING!!

"Katie" he said slowly, as he got down on one knee. There were people all around us, taking photos and shrieking but that didn't bother me, because I knew what the question was and I already knew what my answer would be.

KATIE HUDSON-

I screamed so loud that I swear my family from the other side of the world could hear. I looked down and lifted up my foot carefully and saw something silver poking out of my foot.

"God dammit" I muttered to myself, trying to pull this needle out of the sole of my foot.

I suddenly heard a huge burst of laughter. I looked up and saw my little 10 year old pest of a brother crying and laughing so hard.

"You may be small but you are the biggest dickhead ever!" I yelled as I chased after him.

I then felt something clear and sticky ram up against my face and body. I stepped back and saw that the little shit wrapped my door way up with gladwrap. I searched in my draw for scissors. I snatched them and cut through this layer of gladwrap. Throwing the scissors on the ground, I ran after him, down the stairs, through the living room, in the kitchen and into the garden. There he stood with a cheeky grin.

"You asshole! I know you put the pin there! Why the hell did you put that glad wrap in my door way?"
He was laughing so hard that he couldn't answer.
"Come here you little shit!!!" I yelled as I tried to catch him.

My mum must have saw us because she then came running out.
"Katie! What are you doing to your poor brother?"
I stepped back and gave him a death stare.
"Mum, Katie started swearing at me and beating me up!" my brother said, pointing his little finger at me.
"Oh, my little Johnny! Come here. She didn't hurt you that bad did she? Let me see"

I stood there,shocked at what he just said.
"Omg mum! You are not actually gonna believe the bullshit that is coming out of his mouth,are you??!!"
"Katie!! You know what that's enough, say sorry"
"Huh? What for?! Do you know what he did to me?"
"Katie I said enough!"
"I mean come on I didn't even touch him!!"
"KATIE!!!"
I stopped, just knowing what would happened next if I'd try to continue arguing.

"Katie, I've made a decision. You know that party on Friday night at what's his name's house? Um, Hugo?"
"Yeah..." I said nervously, kinda knowing what she would say next.
"Well, you are not going which means you are also grounded for the rest of the month"
Did she actually just say that? No. I could not let that happen.
"Mum no!! I barely go to any parties cause you don't let me and i worked so hard on my grades for this!! Also he has booked 5SOS to be there!!.And you know how much I wanna meet Ashton Irwin!!"
"Ashton who? That doesn't matter. And it's not my fault that he is rich and can afford any celebrity"

I gave a heavy sigh and quietly growled, while knocking Johnny's shoulder hard, as I made my way through the kitchen and into the living room.

"I heard that argument" Dad said, as he put his newspaper down.
"Katie sit, I want to talk to you"
I just stood there, wanting to go upstairs but my mind just couldn't decide what to do.
"Katie,sit" he said again. I quickly sat down, knowing what would happen if he had to say it three times.

"Katie, look. We just want the best for you and also, it's good that your not going to that party, because now you can focus on your studies"

"Dad, please. I'm a straight A student, what else do you want? I mean, come on! I'm 18! I should live my last year at high-school as best as I could! I also need to keep my reputation up!"

Being the lawyer that he was, he was not convinced. He shook his head.
"Katie, you should be a straight A+ student. Don't you want to be the best? And don't you want to leave high school with a good mark, knowing that you were the smartest and now you can study for a good job and become a good doctor so you can afford many things in life and be able to feed your family?"

All these rebuttals popped up in my head, but I knew it was no use to say them because mum and dad had already made up their minds. Instead I just put my head down, got up and walked up the stairs, trying to concentrate on the squeaky noise each time i stepped, instead of feeling annoyed that i was grounded and couldn't go to the first ever actually party in my life.

Thankyou to anyone who read that first chapter of my very first story. I think it was probably too long or too short, I don't really know
