Business for young generation

Every business starts with an idea, and that is what the younger generation faces. Thinking about the idea of business is not that easy, there are a lot of businesses that can be run by the young generation. Arkana James is a passionate man who seeks opportunities in business. Although he is still young, Arkana is always positive and straight to the goals, he never quit learning and always tries anything to make his idea work. What we can see from him is that he has an entrepreneur self in him.

On a bright Friday, Arkana was walking along the river in his town alone, that is what he always does in the afternoon. When he saw a bench on the side of the river, he stopped his walk and sat on that bench. There were swans and birds to keep him company at that time. When he is drowning in his thoughts, he suddenly thinks "How can I be successful at this age? What kind of business would fit me perfectly? I also want to try new challenges in my life." He thinks about many possibilities that he can try, he thinks about building a thrift store, coffee store, food store, or maybe buying a franchise like what people do now. Actually, his idea is a great idea, but he also does not know how to start it, he needs a partner to share his story with.

From those ideas that come into his mind he starts thinking about the drawback of each idea, he thinks about the cost, the market segment, and also how he can distribute his business. After an hour of sitting about many things, he decides to continue walking to the nearest bakery because he is hungry. The Pastry & Co was the most popular and also delicious bakery ever. Arkana was entering the bakery and ordered a croissant with a hot coffee. He sat on that bakery in the side of the window. Fortunately, when he was enjoying his food, the manager of the bakery was coming to do quality control with the customer. The manager was approaching Arkana and asking about his food "Hello sir, good evening, I am the manager of Pastry & Co, are you enjoying your food? Because Arkana loves to talk with people, he answers the manager's question happily "Hello, good evening. I enjoy it so much; you have the best taste in pastry and cake in this town."

The manager was very happy after hearing Arkana's thoughts about his business "Nice to hear that sir, thank you for the review and please continue your time." When the manager wants to go, Arkana suddenly has a question in his mind "Excuse me, before you leave can I ask you something?" Surely the manager was excited to hear his question "Yes, of course, you can ask anything that you want." When Arkana got that response, he was an enthusiast – "Sir, can I ask about the owner of this bakery? How can he create such a wonderful business?" The manager was kind of shocked because not many customers want to know about the story of this bakery, the customer mostly asked about the chef or the menu of this bakery. "I think you will not believe this; the owner of this bakery is a young girl; I think she is as old as you." Arkana is suddenly shocked by his answer "Really? How can she build this business at a young age? She must be very dedicated." - "Yes, she is, if you are lucky you can meet her at the mini-park in front of this bakery, she always walks her dog there. Said the manager.

After a lot of talking, Arkana was going back home passing the mini park that was mentioned by the manager. He walks in a rush because he wants to go back home as fast as possible. When walking, a furry dog suddenly runs into him. Arkana was wondering, who is the owner of this dog and why this dog is alone. Because he is not bear with the dog, so he plays with the dog and waiting for the owner.

From the other direction, a young girl was running while calling someone's name "Peter! Peter! where are you?" she panics until she saw Arkana, she was coming to him and said "Oh... Peter! Here you are, I was looking for you." Arkana was confused because of who is Peter, and he looked down and thought that this dog must be Peter. Arkana is also remembered for what the manager said. "Hai, this must be your dog. I saw him alone and I decide to play with him. Let me guess, you must be the owner of the bakery over there, is that right?

The young girl is shocked, how can a stranger know him "Yep that's me, thank you for playing with Peter, but how can you know that? And then Arkana said that the manager told him about it. "Mr. Willy told you about that? But why?" This is a nice opportunity for Arkana, his can ask a lot of things about business with her "Hm... I want to open a business, can you share your experience with me? Is that okay if I ask for that?" She was amazing to him, and because she is very friendly, she answers his question directly "Oh my god, I am very happy if someone asks me for that, first of all, my name is Jasmine and yes, I am the owner of that bakery" said her while pointing the bakery. "Hai Jasmine, a pleasure to meet you. I am Arkana, I am really curious, how can you open your business, how did you start it, and do you happy with it." Jasmine openly answered Arkana's question "That is a very nice question. First of all, I love cooking, especially cake and pastry. In the beginning, I also did not confident with my cake, but my family and friends told me that the taste of my cooking is good and I should try to sell it so that everyone can taste it." Jasmine also adds that when he starts her business it is not easy to make the trust of the customers, she got a lot of complaints and she should improve her recipe many times. It was a hard time for her, but she never quit her business, she should make her business run well. She also mentioned several businesses that she has tried such as healthy food and gelato, but unfortunately, it does not work.

Jasmine said that if you want to make a business, you should make sure that you love and passionate with your idea, it is okay if you have a lot of competitors because the customer will always come back to you if you serve the best that you can give to them. Jasmine also recommends that it is better to start the business by yourself because from her experience, working with partner is harder than working alone because you should combine your idea together and sometimes it is hard to find a solution for it. Just working from your heart and so whatever makes you happy.

Arkana was really motivated with Jasmine's story, he believes that he also can runs a successful business. He was very thankful to meet with Jasmine, he learns a lot of thinks from her. One last think that he holds from her is that "If I can do it so you can do it too".
