The Party

You left your room and saw a few students who were going. You looked around before you spotted Hajime.

"Hajime!" You shouted, loud enough for him to hear. "Y-Yes?" Hajime asked, "Can you wait here?" You asked him, he nodded. You went inside your room quickly before spotting something wrapped around a napkin. You took it carefully before exiting your room and locking it. "Here." You held out, which earned a confused look.

"What's this?" Hajime asked, "It's the desserts we've made." You told him. "T-These are for me?" Hajime said in disbelief, "Of course, you've helped us prepare it but got kicked out after." You chuckled, "Think of it as a thank you.. from all of us." You smiled. Hajime looked at you for a second before blushing a bit and thanking you.

"Do you wanna walk together to the old building?" Hajime suggested. You nodded, taking his offer.

You arrived at the old building after a minute or so, you both had entered the building and saw Byakuya standing there.

"You're here..." Byakuya said, "Now then, both of you, stand up straight and raise your arms." He demanded. "Huh!?" Hajime asked. "Why do we have to do that?" He added. "Because I need to do a body check." Byakuya responded. "B-Body check!?" Hajime repeated. "Since I'm the one hosting the party, it's necessary for me to take all possible security measures," Byakuya explained. "I already promised I would not allow even one person to become a victim...!" He added. "I-I get it..." Hajime said, looking away as he raised his arms and stood straight. Byakuya searched Hajime, starting from his legs and working his way up.

After Byakuya was done with Hajime, you stood up straight and raised your arms signaling that you were ready.

"...It appears you two haven't brought anything dangerous." Byakuya said, "O-Of course we didn't!" Hajime shouted a little. "...Very well, I shall allow you to enter," Byakuya said as he made way. "Hm?" Hajime let out, "..Metal cases?" Hajime asked. "Duralumin, actually. I found them at the supermarket..." Byakuya corrected, "This one is used to store any dangerous items I find during body checks." Byakuya explained, "The other one is used for..." Byakuya said before pausing, "...Well, let's just say it's for emergencies only." Byakuya added.

"What do you mean, 'emergencies'?" Hajime asked. "Don't worry about it," Byakuya said. "The others are already here, gathered at the dining hall in the back. Go there and wait..." Byakuya demanded.

With that, Byakuya turned his back on us.

"Well, we should get going." You told Hajime, he nodded.

You two entered the dining hall, being greeted by Nagito. "Ah, Hajime and Y/N! How do you like it?" Nagito asked. "What do you mean?" Hajime asked. "See? I decorated the whole dining hall for the party. I even laid out the carpet, too." Nagito smiled. "Really? Even the carpet?" Hajime asked. "Yep, I brought it from the supermarket." Nagito smiled even more. "I actually wanted to cover the whole floor, but I guess the carpet wasn't big enough," Nagito said. "There was a lot of dust and cobwebs all over the place, too. It took me all day to clean the dining hall just because of that." He added, sounding annoyed.

"You're commendable, Nagito." Hajime spoke. "Yeah, thanks." Nagito smiled.

You and Hajime went on your separate ways and talked with others, after a few moments Byakuya arrived and as well had the others.

"...Thank you for waiting," Byakuya said, "Teruteru is in the kitchen, and... it appears Fuyuhiko did not come." He added. "I apologize. I did inform him about the party, but..." Peko spoke, "It's not like you need to apologize, Peko. It's his fault for not coming..." Mahiru cut her off. "I explicitly stated that attendance was mandatory, but..." Byakuya said, "It's fine...If one person is absent, that shouldn't pose a problem." He added. "He won't be able to do anything." He said.
