A Girl With Baseball Roots part.1

MY JOUNEY

It was a Thursday afternoon; I was sitting on the couch waiting for my acceptance letter to go to NBB [National Base-Ball] University. I waited and waited until...{ding dong} I heard the door bell ring, I rushed to answer the door when my dad did it for me, I saw the mail man giving my dad a letter, as soon as the mail man left; my dad ran to me with joy and told me that NBB university has sent me a letter, my heard was pounding;(what if I didn't get in; what if they have rejected meee!)I slowly opened the letter and found out... I GOT INN!!

My name is Lisa and I live in Seoul South Korea, my dad is Korean and my mum is American. I am fluent in both languages English and Korean, my dream has always been to be a professional baseballer, that's why I'm so happy that I got a full-ride scholarship to my dream university, it is far away in U.K London.

As I was in the car with my family I couldn't help but think I'm actually leaving my parents. I have already said my goodbye's to my relatives and all my friends, I couldn't help but miss all my friends and family, I don't know anyone in London and no one knows me. As we made it to the airport I wanted to cry so bad; but I kept my cool; meanwhile my parents started to cry like crazy, I told them to stop embarrassing me hugged them, as soon as they finally left; my eyes were already watering, they are my best friends and I have always been close to them. As I made my way to my flight I heard it was about to take off, I rushed to my flight and fortunately made it. My flight was great; it was so peaceful. It took about twelve hours and thirty minutes to arrive at my destination. I made my way out of the airport; I stopped; and realized; I WAS LOST! Anxiety hovered around me and I started to panic, I asked someone for help and they lead me there. It was a bus for the university I went to. I hopped on the bus a sat in the second row on the window, just then a tall dark haired boy sat beside me, I recognized the book he was holding ; it was about NBB University,(hey...)I said with a shy voice(sorry to bother you but do you go to that university?)I pointed to the book he was holding; my hands trembling,(ahh yes actually I do go there)said the boy with he's deep voice,(oh wow how ironic because I also go there too)said I. We kept chatting and getting to know each other. He told me that he's name was Marcus and that he was born and raised in Ireland, he seemed like a pretty interesting person.

As we got off the bus together; a blonde girl with blue eyes suddenly appeared in front of us and gave Marcus a tight hug saying in a soft voice(OH MY GOD Marcus you finally made it my childhood best friend)then glaring at me;(hi my name is Lisa its really...)(did I ask you)said Jessica;(umm no but I am just introducing myself to you)( well I didn't ask thank you very much)said Jessica in a mean tone,(hey relax it's her first day here)bud in Marcus(soo Lisa this my childhood best friend Jessica, Jessica this is Lisa)All of a sudden a lady who looked like she worked here walked towards me and said(hi are you Lisa?)(yes; yes I am)I said with a stuttering sound,(that's great come with me so I can take you to your room)she told me to come with her and I agreed. She took me to my room and introduced to my two roommates Rachel and Sarah, they both greeted me welcomely and lead me inside. As soon as the lady left Rachel and Sarah began squealing out loud,(umm what is is?)I asked.(are you Korean?)them both asking at the same time,(ahh yes I am; why?)I asked the two girls.(do you like K-pop? )Asked Sarah(umm a little why?)I asked in a quivering voice(have you ever met BTS in person before?)Asked Rachel.(actually yes I have before in one of his concerts; I even took a selfie with him look)I showed them the picture on my phone(OMGG! you are soo lucky)said the girls at the same time both squealing and jumping up and down(soo Lisa what's your favorite food?)(well I honestly really like kimchi its on of my favorite foods)(us two but we've only tried it once; well have tried it three times while Sarah has only tried it once)(oh wow how interesting..)I said with a shivering voice. They kept asking me tons of questions like my life in Korea; K-pop and soo many other things. At 8:00pm I went to sleep and hoped for an amazing day tomorrow.
