Last time we saw each other was two months ago. Him laying down on the floor, bleeding. I was so scared for him... But he seems fine now. Or at least he has no visible injuries that I can see. Those piercing blue eyes keeps staring at me, like he sees right thru me. "...What are you doing here?" I ask. My arms feels like they are shaking a bit,but I keep my cool. Nick puts his hand in his pocket;"I came back to work. In um... My new office." and looks around the room. The room is still pretty empty. There's only the dark wood desk with new leather chair. Cross arms over my chest and lean against the door frame. "Should have known CIA going to promote you.". Tiny smirk comes corner of his mouth;"I would have started earlier, but I had to take some time off. There was this accident in Tokyo, you see...". Rolling my eyes;"Oh...". Going along with the play so I walk deeper into the room. "Heard you got killed and you turned into a ghost." I just look at him with very plain look. "I came back from the dead." he chuckle. There is that sweet smile again.

My heart starts raising even I try my hardest not to. His eyes follows me as I put both of my hands on his desk. Nick looks worried;"Look, I..-", can feel how my eyes gets glossy;"You should have stayed dead.". Then I open my hand, the ring drops to the surfice and I storm out. Leaving him alone the room. Rush to get my stuff from the locker and head outside of the building. Wind blows my hair when I step outside. While I'm going down the stairs I put my leather jacket on. It's pretty chilly outside, sense it's already middle of the fall. The leafs of the trees gone yellow. Should I've just stayed and listen to him..? Silver car pulls up right in front of me. Got surprised by that and I jolt back a bit. The driver's window goes down, revealing Nick;"Get in.". "Nah, I'm good." I act all cool. He tilts his head a bit;"Please.". "Why? I have nothing to say to you." I quickly say and start to walk around the car. "But I do." he says, this time little bit more stern voice. For a minute I struggle with what to do, but then I get in the car. Nick gives me a gentle smile;"Thank you.". I only glance at him once and say nothing. He starts driving. "Where are we going?" I ask, not looking at him. "Thought we go to my place. It's more secure in there." he keeps his eyes on the road.

Soon we arrive to his place. "Make yourself home." Nick says as he put the keys on a table next to the entrance. The place is pretty big, spacesious and modern. Decoration is very manly. Like somekind of touch of warmth is missing. I keep looking around while walking deeper into the livingroom area. The whole place smells like him... Nick walks up to a small bar that is corner of the room. "Drink?" he ask. "No thank you." I cross arms over my chest, still looking around. He just flashes a smile and takes out two glasses. He fills them and throws couple ice cubes in his whiskey glass. Then he walks up to me and hands me (f/d). How did he know this is my favourite drink? At first I give him a glare but then I take it;"Fine.". He clinks the glass in his hand against mine and take a sip without breaking his eye contact. "Why am I here?" I finally ask. He then gestures with his hand me to take a seat on the grey couch. We both go and sit on it.

Then there is this moment of silence. Neither of us won't look at each other. "(Y/N), I..." he starts. I turn my head to look at him. "I'm sorry what you and your friends had to go thru." he looks me in the eyes. "But I want you to know I did what I had to." he continued. I put the glass on the coffee table;"Still... You could have warn me somehow.". Before he could start to argue I keep going;"Thought we were partners.". Nick's face goes looking sad;"..I know. But then it wouldn't been believable. Clarke's men were always there. No matter where I go...". He reach his hand and puts a piece of my hair behind my ear. It gives me the shivers, blush coming up to my cheeks. Then I quickly get up;"That still doesn't make up the fact you were on his side in the first place.". We stare each other for few seconds. Nick is just about to open his mouth, but I take off the watch of my wrist;"I wanted to give this back." and place it on the table infront of him. His eyes goes down to look at it for a moment then back to me. "Good talk." I start walking away.
