Redundant

Chase was sitting in his pup house feeling depressed. He and Rocky had started dating in just one month and since then arguments have been brewing. They had another argument a couple of hours earlier and it left Chase feeling depressed and left Rocky feeling a mixture of different emotions. And it was all because of what Rocky said made him win the argument.

"I'd rather die than to have an idiot like you as a boyfriend."

After that was said, Chase's heart shattered which was followed by Rocky's heart doing the same. He didn't mean that in any way. He loved the German Shepherd the way Chase loved him. But the love was shielded by anger. Rocky never felt so guilty in his life. He wanted to run to Chase and tell him how sorry he was but he knew had messed up this time. So the mixed breed eco pup sat in his pup house in guilt and sorrow.

Skye was starting to worry about the two pup's emotional states and tried to sort things out as she went to the German Shepherd's pup house and knocked on the door.

"Knock, knock." The cockapoo said, trying to be playful.

"Go away." Came the reply. She could tell how joyless the tone was and knew Chase was still upset about what Rocky had said earlier.

"Chase, please come on out." She pleaded.

"I'll come out when I'm ready."

"Okay then," She sighed, giving up and turning around. "Just wanted to tell you there's a singing competition in town and wondered if you wanted to go see it."

Chase's ears perked up and suddenly had an idea.

"Yeah, I'll go. Just give me a few minutes. When does it start?"

"It starts in three hours."

Chase did an air-pump with his paw. "Yeah, I'll be there."

Skye was glad to hear that she would see his friend again in town and walked away from the German Shepherd's pup house. Chase waited until Skye was far away until he came out and stole a glance at Rocky's pup house before trotting into town. He found a flier in Mr. Porter's Cafe and studied it. He then made the decision that he was going to participate in it to try and fix this mess.

After a few hours of waiting and the sun going down, everyone was in town at the event sitting in their seats. Mayor Goodway got up on the stage and welcomed everybody who came and soon let the participants sing their songs. After the first three participants had sung their songs, it was Chase's turn to sing. As he stood on the stage he could see Rocky in the middle of the crowd.

"It's all or nothing now." He said to himself.

The German Shepherd stood on stage and tried to look confident. This song was the only thing that would bring him and Rocky back together. The song started out with a guitar riff, which was followed by a set of drums. Chase sang with all his heart.

We're living in repetition
Content in the same old shtick again
Now the routine's turning to contention

Rocky was surprised to see Chase singing at a singing competition and was impressed at his vocals. He softly headbanged to the song.

As the guitar solo played, Chase stared at Rocky with a smile on his face.

"I dedicate this song to my beloved boyfriend Rocky."

The crowd cheered for Chase and Rocky as Rocky looked away sheepishly and blushed.

When the song ended, the crowd gave a round of applause for Chase as the German Shepherd looked at his boyfriend, who looked like he was about to cry in joy.

When the competition had ended, Mayor Goodway had announced Chase as the winner and was awarded with a trophy. The team went back to the lookout and congratulated the German Shepherd for his reward. Rocky was most happy for his boyfriend and gave him a big kiss on the cheek.

"You deserved that trophy." The mixed breed eco pup said.

"I only did it for you." The German Shepherd responded.

"Aww"'s came out of the other pups as Chase and Rocky shared a moment between each other after their falling out. The two pups nuzzled each other indicating that no matter what,
