For as long as Jayda Martell could remember, her and Jeremiah Fisher had never liked each other. Whether the mutual dislike sprung during Cousins annual bike race or the competition between who could set off the best fireworks on the Fourth of July, she had no idea. It had always been a constant battle between the two. However, the one and only thing she could appreciate was the fact that she only had to endure his preposterous stupidity during the summer.
The Martell's had always lived in Cousins year round unlike most of the other family's amongst the town who only lived there for the summer. Her father, Mateo Martell was the owner of Cousins very own country club. He treated the club as if it was his child, it very well could be seeing as that's where he spent most of his time.
You could imagine the strong feeling of betrayal and disbelief Jayda felt when finding out that her father had hired Cousins very own Jeremiah fisher to be one of their new lifeguards. Not only did that prove the fact that he indeed was better than her at something, for Jayda can't swim, it seems like the fisher boy and her father are now best friends. Which means the more she'll see him. One hell of a fun summer this will be.
