Chapter 1

Do you know how it feels finding out you're a lesbian, no? Well Ruby Mae Flynn does, the poor girl thought about it all night. She was confused at first but after realizing she had feelings for a girl she knew it for sure, she's a lesbian.

Ruby lived in a small house in a small town in with her parents and two older brothers, Luke and Noah. She had led a simple life as the town's sweet and innocent girl, the daughter of a wealthy businessman and his wife.

As child Ruby could never understand why it bothered her. Why it bothered her that she didn't have the time nor energy for men. Why her life had surrounded around her best friend, Violet Rose Salvatore, and why she always felt attracted to her. Like her feelings were so much more than just those of a friend.

Ruby and Violet had known one another for 10 years and although they have done everything normal friends would do, Ruby couldn't help but wonder why her feelings were different for Violet than for any of her other friends.

As child, Ruby was extremely close to both Luke and Noah. Luke was the eldest of the 3 siblings and out of college. He was 23 and ready to take on life with his fiance, Brooke, while Noah had just finished his first year of college, making him only 19. But what the two brothers had in common was their love and support for their younger sister. Yes. They were both a lot older than Ruby, but that didn't stop them from building a unique bond with their sister.

The father of the Flynn children, Henry, had loved all his children equally. But he grew close to his daughter. Growing up as a single child, Henry wanted his child to have siblings. Brothers and sisters. So when Luke was born, Henry was determined to give him a brother and a sister. Although Luke and Noah were the apple of their mother's eye, Ruby had remained her father's sweet girl and that couldn't be taken away.

Yet, despite her wonderful family, Ruby had wondered whether or not they would accept her new identity, or if it would be Violet who pushes her away?
