Two weeks before day 0 ----------
Grimes' residence, Alexandria
Carl had been out of the infirmary for two weeks, and every day was spent with Lucy.
Meanwhile, Ron lived hidden away from everyone. The girl would visit him almost every night, and every time would be spent getting high and having deep talks or playing dumb games to maintain a sort of normalcy around them. Because Lucy could understand having a martyr as a father, they connected a lot easier. Slowly, she opened up to Ron about her family, who her father was and what he did, she knew Ron wouldn't say anything; in fact, she even wondered if he would come with her if she were to find her father again.
"Ron! That's way too much pot" She exclaimed towards the Anderson boy who was stuffing the plant on the brownie mix while Lucy preheated the oven.
"No, it's not, shut up" He quickly responded and shoved even more weed into the mix, he stood next to her and pushed his hip to hers, shoving her away as she laughed and returned the gesture, after a few more soft presses it turned into a full match, and they ended up with brownie mix all over them. With a laugh, they put the brownies in the oven and took turns showering to get rid of the mix in their hair and body.
"RON! THE BROWNIES ARE BURNING!"
The girl rushed down the stairs in only a towel, wet hair sticking to her face as she approached the boy, smacking him outside the head for his lack of attention and quickly pulling the brownies out of the oven.
"I swear to god, you're useless in the kitchen" She expressed with a smirk as the boy playfully put a hand to his heart in mock offence.
"You wound me, Smith, you truly do" He sighed dramatically, throwing himself down dramatically on the couch as she laughed.
"I'm gonna get some clothes on, don't burn the house down, please" She rushed up the stairs, and the boy followed her with his eyes, watching her go as he sighed. Sure, he loved having somebody who cared about him, a friend he knew would stand by him, even if she was sometimes terrifying. But he couldn't help but want to have her, hold her when she was struggling, she was just so enticing to him, and she didn't even seem to realise it.
"Alright, order of business?" She questioned as she walked down the stairs, now sporting an oversized t-shirt; she wasn't sure who it belonged to, and a pair of sweatpants, and his eyes sparkled at the sight of her on his shirt.
