Made A Killing

A/N: This chapter is still Nagisa's POV, but for the next chapter, I might write an extra that features another character, but idk.

I screamed. Just. Screamed. This was crazy! Someone actually killed her! They did it! Well, whatever happens next, I won't let them get away with it. All the students in the cafeteria came rushing here after due to my scream. Soon, everybody saw the bloody corpse in the shower. I had started breaking down and crying. Hayami was holding onto me and rubbing her hands on my arms trying to comfort me. "Nagisa, I know that it hurts. Losing your friend.", she told me, "Well find out who murdered her, I promise. Then we'll put an end to this wretched game."

"UPUPUPUPU!", Monokuma laughed, "A body has been discovered, that means it's time for a class trial!" "C-Class t-trial?", Okuda asked. Monokuma answered, "Yes a class trial.", he said tearing up, "Your first class trial. Wow you guys are growing up so fast!" "HOW COULD YOU JUST KILL HER MONOKUMA?!", Fuwa asked, demanding for an answer. "I didn't.", Monokuma defended, "Why would I do that when the whole point of the game is to watch you guys kill eachother. Me getting involved would make it boring." "So you didn't get involved?", Sugaya asked. "Swear it. As I said, it would defeat the whole purpose of this game, and someone here knows that all too well. UPUPUPUPU!" We all gasped. "Dayum!", Okano shouted, "That is just cold. Really you guys?" "Listen guys.", Yada proposed, "All we gotta do is show the bear who's boss and he'll let us out!" "That's absurd!", Takebayashi told her. Courtney added on, "I agree, that will only get yourself killed Yada. Therefore I will not partake in such... tomfoolery." "Whatever.", Yada pressed on, "I bet the bear won't even do anything. He himself said he wouldn't ki-" Before she could finish her sentence, Monokuma stabbed her with spears. We all looked at him with horror on our faces. All except for the three who were standing over her body looking down at it. Karma and Courtney who were conversing about the whole situation and Hayami who was silently observing the body. "She was a hot-headed dumbass to the end.", Karma said condescendingly. "Indeed.", Courtney stated, "She tested the very same bear who almost blew Ryoma's face off when he too tried to destroy it." "Her death must've been either her karma awaiting her or the result of her lack of common sense." "Exactly. Did I not in fact say that it was not the strongest nor the smartest that have the highest advantage in this game, but the ones who can adapt to this environment and the rules? I guess people don't like to listen to good advice." "It's not good advice, Courtney. It's just common sense which I'm afraid she lacked." "That's true. If she was still here she wouldn't bring anything to the table I'm afraid due to her lacking in brain cells." "Yes. In short good riddance." "HOW COULD YOU GUYS SAY THAT!", Kurahashi screamed at Karma and Courtney, "SHE WAS A PERSON WITH FEELINGS!" "We we're just stating the truth.", Karma replied, "She died of her own stupidity." "Don't be so harsh, Karma.", Courtney told him. Karma stated, "What's this? First you said the same thing I was saying, then you turn around and switch sides?" "I apologize Kurahashi. That was in fact a bit harsh, I'm just startled from all the murder. Please do not kill me.", Courtney said, "Also it's not wise to assume we're on the same side, Karma. It's not wise to assume that anyone is siding with anyone. It's dog eat dog. Every man for himself. I hope you are not so naive next time. I would hate for any of you to suffer the same fate as Kayano and Yada." "It's ok, it's ok!", Kurahashi told Courtney, "I get it, it's your way of coping... I guess, and for the record, I would never murder anyone!" "I don't know.", Courtney said, "You can never be certain. Anyone in this room could be the murderer. Even the people you might not expect." "I'd hate to be the finger pointer here.", Takebayashi said, "However, Itona. You said that you went to the kitchen in the middle of the night to get some candies and confections. You know what also took place in the middle of the night. The murder!" Everybody gasped except for Hayami and me. I personally don't think that Itona was the murderer. Even tho he does have that aura about him that feels like he could commit a murder and get away with it. I feel like he would wait until later in the game (ugh I hate using that word to describe the situation we're in) to attempt. "Be careful. You might not want to accuse anyone until you've all observed the crime scene throughly and having this debate in the trial room.", Monokuma advised, "Remember, you can point the finger, but point it at your own peril." "That's right!", Muramatsu summed up, "Guess right and we're in the clear, but guess wrong and we all die!"

"Here are the rules for investigation time. You guys get exactly 24 hours to crack this case wide open.", Monokuma explained, "9:06 am was the exact time Nagisa Shiota discovered the corpse of Kaede Kayano. That means you have until exactly 9:06 am tomorrow to break this case wide open. Which means during the time that this murder is being investigated, killing is prohibited. If you kill somebody during the investigation, I will kill you on the spot. Good luck!"

So just like that, we began investigating. As I observed the crime scene I saw that her body had no visible stab marks on it which contradicts with there being a bloody knife on the floor. However, it's safe to assume that the blood on her head was made from the metal object. After a while, I just went back to my room. I couldn't stand to look at my friend's dead body.

About a moment later, Hayami came to my room show me Yada and Kayano's student IDs.

Toka Yada:
Birthday: August 1st (Leo)
Gender: Female
Height: 161cm
Weight: 51kg
Blood Type: A

Wow, the amount of information on this is crazy with us just being a mere student ID and all. I coulda sworn she was like a centimeter taller in real life than what it says on here though. However, it was Kayano's ID that was even more shocking.

Akari Yukimura:
Birthday: November 9th (Scorpio)
Gender: Female
Height: 143cm
Weight: 34kg
Blood Type: AB

"That's crazy! You mean she's Akari Yukimura, that's famous actress?", I yelled in shock, "I thought she was just an amateur actress? I didn't know she was famous! It doesn't make any sense though. Back in middle school, we had always celebrated her birthday in January, but here it says her birthday's in November." Hayami told me, "The birthdate on here does match with the birthdate of the actual actress. Maybe she went with the alias, Kaede Kayano, because she didn't want to be treated differently at school, and to make her false identity more believable, she decided to tell people at school her birthday's in January instead of November." "I guess. So, why are you deciding to share this information with me of all people?" "Easy, you give me this main character/hero vibe. Out of all the people here, you seem the most trustworthy. However, I could be wrong, you could be very one who killed Kayano, or if not, you could be planning the next murder this very second. I know that I am definitely running a risk sharing this information with you, but it's a risk I'm willing to take." "Well thank you." "For what?" "Trusting me with this information. I don't know about you, but I've gained serious trust issues due to Kayano's murder." "Yea well, see you in the class trial, let's bust this case wide open, Nagisa." "Yea." After that I helped with the investigation. Well at least I attempted to help, but honestly this detective stuff, not my strong suit. Maybe the others picked up some evidence. We'll never know until the trial.

A/N: I know this chapter was kinda shitty but I don't rly have the patience to write a whole ass investigation scene so you'll just have to see the evidence they scrape up in the class trial chapter. Also wasn't rly in the mood to re read & catch my mistakes so my apologies if this has spelling errors 😭
