The Last Note [ON HOLD]

25. A SWEET SUPERSTITION.

Trishika's P.O.V:

-"Maa, aap chaliye pehle, I'll take time. Abhi bohot kaam dekhne hain."
I said to Maa as I wore my earrings and moved towards the main gate to look after the arrangements for today's mehndi function.

Maa was asking me to get my henna done but I had a whole lot of tasks to complete, not much, but still many. And I could not sit for 1 hour straight to get my henna done and sit for another 1 hour to let it dry. I was honestly avoiding the mehndi, you can say that.

Maa nodded at me and I moved out of the house, towards the garden to where the delicacies where being prepared by the hired men.

-"Bhaiya, agar kisi bhi saaman ki kami pade toh bata dijiyega, lekin khaana badhiya banna chahiye, Papa ne kaha hai."
I said to the man who was preparing a dough.

He nodded in positive and I moved out of the mansion and settled in my car. Wearing my seatbelt, I started the engine of the car and drove towards the airport.

Well yes, Ms. Mithika Panchal is finally coming! She was supposed to come yesterday night, but her flight got delayed due to the wheather conditions. And now I just can't wait to see her again, it's been a while. Who knows, she got a boyfriend? We'll have to catch up on life once she's here.

It took me half an hour to reach the airport and I saw Mithika already standing with her luggage in the waiting area.

-"Mithiiii!!"
I squeeled in glee and ran towards her.

She saw me and gave the same reaction.

-"Trishhhh!!!"
Said Mithi with double the excitement and engulfed me into a tight hug.

-"God, I missed you!"
She said.

-"I missed you too!!"
I replied.

Her expressions changed from that of excitement to astonishment, suddenly. She gasped in surprise and I looked at her in confusion.

-"Kya?"
I asked her.

-''Bro, look at you! You look so beautiful in this maroon anarkali and look at the jhumkas! You look sooo good!"
Mithika squeeled happily.

-"Thankyou so much!''
I said to her with a smile and we headed back home.

The car ride was no less than an indoor concert. We blasted Taylor Swift's music in the car and sang like maniacs. And only then I realised that, it has been a while since I actually felt alive.

We reached home and Mithi quickly hugged Maa, Ritvik and Aakash Bhai, and they reciprocated it gladly. And then began her never ending teasing saga, from mocking Aakash Bhai for saying that he would remain single forever to declaring that she'll be the coolest Bua for his future kids, she ate and left no crumbs.

-"Trish, Ajey is looking for you in the garden. He wants to talk."
Ritvik informed me and a small smile quickly appeared on my lips.

Mithi was quick enough to notice it and bombarded me with a hundred questions, all at once. Saying that it's a long story, and I'll narrate it to her later when I'm free, I somehow managed to escape the situation.
