It was night, when Lan Wangji had a schedule for a patrol duty. It was a norm for him, not much of a big deal.

As he was strolling the area, where the esteemed guests' quarters are. He noticed a shodow lurking at the corner. And some muffle faint-like noises could be heard.

Sighs, as expected. Who wouldn't sneak out in the middle of the night, aside from Wei Wuxian? Nie Huaisang would also do that.

As Lan Wangji approached it, slowly. Not to frightened the shorter man.

"Nie Huaisang." he called, as usual, with his stern affirmative tone. Which would send chills to everyone's back.

That did startle Nie Huaisang, that was expected.

"Y-yes?!" he respond, stood up straight and face the stoic one.

"It's late. Should've been in your chamber." Lan Wangji said, "What are you doing so late?" asks. He can already guess it, just confirming it.

"I—"

"Wanted to sneak out?" Lan Wangji cut him off.

Nie Huaisang is dead shock, and his face was turning blank any minute now.

"You—"

"Scared or surprised you?"

Nie Huaisang wanted to faint, if not for the stoic jade to do something rule-breaking, or some kind of method pulling out from his sleeves.

Now the short one, began to wonder if Cloud Recesses is getting weird, it it's just him to thought so.

Lan Wangji sighs for the second time. "Need to talk to you. Follow me." turning around, and went into the younger's guest chamber.

Nie Huaisang didn't budge, and decided to follow. He was sweating hard. As this was his first time, that having a conversation with the stoic jade.

As they walk into the room, Lan Wangji had set up silencing talismans around. Preferably this way, or anyone could listen to what they were talking.

"Is, is there some kind o-of problem?" Nie Huaisang asks while stuttering.

"Sort of." Lan Wangji replied.

'Well what kind of sort of is it?! I'm scared!" is what Nie Huaisang thought, instead. "E-eh?"

Nie Huaisang was confused. 'Is this really the famous younger twin jade of Gusu?!' he thought.

"Won't tell anyone, you tried to sneak out." the stoic one rest assured.

The shorter was relieve at that, but his sudden promise. Absolutely not! He doesn't trust this.

Lan Wangji sighs, for only the god of misfortune knows how many. He pull out a pouch from his sleeves, and hand it towards Nie Huaisang.

Nie Huaisang was even more bewildered. "What is that?" he asks.

"Open it."

Nie Huaisang was hesitant at first, but then just decided to open it. And was dead silent. Just silent? No. Dead shock.

Just how many times was he this surprise tonight?!

"A-are you serious?! T-this is too much!"

Lan Wangji shook his head, "Not much." he's serious. "Now listen?"

Nie Huaisang was now nodding his head violently. "Anything!"

And thus, they talk all night. As how they would plan Lan Wangji's small request.

Well, it won't take too long until 11:00 of not for Nie Huaisang having a mental alert here and there.

What could possibly go wrong, if the shorter one was hesitate to cooperate if not for the bribe?
