First Date Jitters

Val goes to Poppy for some dating advice after Synth asked her out on a "first date" in Poppy's eyes. Val does find him very adorable.

Poppy: Branch this picnic party is going to be awesome it's a perfect way for every troll to just get together and have a good time in the summer.

Branch: We just got to make sure that they use a lot of sunscreen. But luckily I put it in bold words on your invitations that you sent out.

Poppy: Always thinking of everyone's safety aren't ya?

Branch: I can't help it I've grown to care about them as family.

Poppy: And I'm very proud of you my hot grumpy dork of a husband

Branch: You're welcome my very beautiful optimistic of a wife.

Poppy: You love me for it?

Branch: And I'll never stop even if it kills you.

Poppy: You're amazing you know that?

Branch: I know. How bout we start heading to our spot.

Poppy: We shall!

Branch: Hey is that Val?

Poppy: Yeah! Val over here!

Val: Oh hey Popsqueak, Branchkins how are things?

Poppy: Amazing! Are you coming to the summer picnic party to declare the first day of summer?

Val: No I have plans.

Poppy: Rocking in your room with a guitar is not plans.

Branch: Aren't you going on a date with Synth tonight

Poppy: Wait a date with Synth?

Val: Who told you that?

Branch: Laguna told me that he asked you out.

Val: I don't even know if it's a date or not. We're just going to hang at the techno festival.

Branch: Yeah, just because a guy and a girl hang out doesn't mean they are dating.

Val: My point exactly Branch.

Poppy: Val this is the start of something new one day you two will be sitting in a tree kissing, first comes love, then comes marriage, and finally a baby carriage! Just like Branch and I!

Branch: That's not what happened!

Poppy: I'm waiting for that baby!

Val: Well tell me about your first date. What should I look out for?

Poppy: Branch planned a cute picnic for our first date.

Branch: After trying to figure out when she was free I set everything up with the help of Guy and Smidge to make everything perfect for her.

Val: Sounds very romantic of you.

Branch: It was until Cloud Guy started third wheeling! Like I just wanted to spend time with my girlfriend why did you have to ruin my life!

Poppy: But on the bright side I had a good time baby.

Branch: I can tell because you're married to me.

Poppy: And I don't regret marry you ever.

Val: If you're going to kiss don't do it in front of me.

Poppy: You don't get to control my I can do what I want.

*Just to freak Val out, she softly grabbed Branch to pull his body close to hers and he leaned in to kiss her which Poppy accepted it. Val who has seen the wedded couple kiss many times since she knew them looked away knowing how Poppy was trying to make her uncomfortable while Branch was going with the flow loving his wife for better or for worse and nothing will change that. And now it was time for the big question.*

Val: Were any of you very nervous for your first time?

*Poppy and Branch who were just admiring each other after their kiss finally looked at Val. Branch looking very embarrassed while Poppy looked like she had a sudden awkward flashback talking to her dad about her first time she and Branch were intimate with each other.(Which turns out had happened because Poppy is an over shares a lot because her dad taught her to be honest even if something is bugging her.) Finally when Val realized what she said to the couple she corrected herself.

Val: First Date! Were you nervous for your first date!?

Poppy: Yes I was super nervous for my first date.

Val: Really? Queen Poppy was nervous? That never happens.

Poppy: I really was nervous. Branch was setting up our date while I was stressing if I was going to break his heart or if he was going to break mine!

Branch: Are you being serious.

Poppy: I was thinking "What if I'm not good enough for him?" But as the date went on I knew that we're gonna be okay.

Branch: Don't stress about it and have a good time with him.

Val: You guys give really good relationship advice.

Branch: Being married to Poppy means that I need to write 5 books about our relationship because she is very difficult to understand most of the time

Poppy: Gee babe, you're such a charmer aren't you?

Branch: And you really know it's true.

Val: Thank you for sharing your wisdom with me.

Poppy: No problem Val you are free to come to us whenever you like.

Branch: Good luck on your date.

*45 minutes later at the Picnic*

Poppy: Branch my love?

Branch: What is it Poppy dear?

Poppy: Do you think that if Val and Synth's date is successful maybe we could have double dates?

Branch: Only if Val is up for it

Poppy: You're right and that will be a while.

Branch: Yeah you should know to be patient with her.

Poppy: Okay. Do you think they'll be very lovey dovey like us?

Branch: Probably. If the date goes well.

Poppy: If the date goes well.

Branch: We might as well do more pda in public.

Poppy: You're such a joker!

Branch: Yeah but I wasn't really joking about that.

*The next Day*

Branch: What a relaxing day at the beach.

Poppy: It's so hot that I'm in a soggy mood right now

Branch: It'll be over eventually.

Poppy: Hey is that Synth and Laguna?

Branch: Oh yeah.

Poppy: Synth!! Laguna!!! Over here!!

Laguna: Greetings Poppy and Branch! Synth was just telling me how successful his date with Val went last night.

Poppy: Are you guys an official couple? I want to have double date.

Synth: Calm down Poppy we're planning another one soon. We're just taking things slow.

Laguna: They're not officially a couple yet but it will happen.

Branch: So what made you ask out Val?

Synth: Just something about her intrigued me that my best buddies Minuet and Demo told me to carpe diem and go for it.

Poppy: That is so sweet. I wish you and Val best of luck on this big step.

Synth: And I'm happy that you trolls support me and I thank you for it.

AN* Why did choose Val and Synth as a ship? Because I had an Idea that had something to do with Poppy, Val, and relationship advice. Hope yall liked it.
