Osamu Dazai was a pretty rich kid. But it was honestly hell for him. He had a dad named Mori who was a doctor so he was always gone but still treated him like shit. Sometimes he wondered if Mori was even his actual dad.
Because of the way, his dad was treating him and his mom would always break down every day from finding out his dad would cheat or abuse her. Dazai's emotions and mindset were pretty bad.
This was until Dazai met Nakahara Chuuya.
As a kid, Chuuya was pretty energetic and was always happy, but really loud. Which is what Dazai admired about him. But he was always jealous cause he always thought Chuuya had a loving heart-warming family. But he didn't.
But once they were in 7th grade and were about to go into 8th Dazai distanced himself away from Chuuya. But it's not like he turned into the popular kid and had a bunch of friends, he instead was always alone and never liked talking to people. He did have a group of friends, but he barely hung out with them and never joined in their conversations even if they sounded interesting.
As for Chuuya, Dazai never seemed to see him in the hallways as much anymore, it would be rare to see the ginger. So Dazai didn't really know how Chuuya's life was going based on what he's seen.
Once Dazai was moving onto 9th grade which was high school, his life was turned into an actual living hell. He had a sister who was a snobby little brat and Mori favored her more than Dazai, and then Dazai's mom died from labor.
So he started taking drugs so that he can release all the stress he had, he also tried a bunch of suicide attempts which would only come back in injuries and stuff.
"Hey, Dazai!" Atsushi tried calling for Dazai down the halls. "Hey, uhm... the group wanted you to go out with us to a movie. Can you please go?" Atsushi begged.
Atsushi was a year younger than Dazai, making him in 9th grade.
"Atsushi... I'm busy," Dazai came up with his lame excuse. "Dazai, I know you are lying. Listen you're always by yourself and I honestly feel bad. So Yosano bought the tickets already so you have to go!" Atsushi insisted. "Fine, I guess." And then Dazai walked away putting his headphones on.

It was the day of the movie theatre and Dazai was getting dressed even though he really didn't wanna go. But he didn't want to deal with his dumbass dad either.
"Dazai? Where do you think you're going?" Mori came in with a smile. "I'm going out with friends," Dazai said not making eye contact. "And who gave you permission to leave this house?" Mori asked, "I'm fucking 16 years old I don't need permission from you." Dazai said about to leave the room. Then suddenly Mori shoved Dazai up against the wall. "Well that's no way to treat your father Dazai," Mori said with an even grin. "I'll let you go this once but be back by 6:00 pm. I need you to watch your sister while I meet up with someone." Mori said. And then let Dazai go.
Dazai walked outside and saw his friend's car in the driveway. "You ready?" Atsushi asked with a smile. "Yeah, I guess..." Dazai said miserably.
They finally got to the movie theatre, checked in, and then got snacks. While Dazai was waiting to get his snack he waited on the side.
"Alright, here you go!" Atsushi said happily as he handed Dazai his snack. Everyone was about to leave until Atsushi stopped them. "Akutagawa? I didn't know you would be here!" Atsushi said. "What the hell are you doing here!?" Akutagawa said angrily. "Uhm... going to watch a movie..." Atsushi said making it seem obvious.
"Who are you with?" Atsushi asked. "I'm just here with a friend. He's in the bathroom so I'm waiting for him." Akutagawa said as he started coughing.
"I'm back," A voice called out. "Chuuya you're finally back!" Akutagawa said impatiently but still continued to cough. "Shut up you coughing bastard!" Chuuya said angrily. But Chuuya froze as he noticed a familiar brunette there.
"Alright, guys let's go!" Kunikida said impatiently.
Once they walked into the room where their movie was being held, Dazai was made to sit on the side seat where he had to sit by a stranger. But his bad luck really kicked in, because he had sit by Chuuya.
The whole time the movie was playing it was super awkward between the two. They hadn't been this close to each other in years.
Once the movie was done Dazai saw that the time was 6:30 and ran out of the theatre in a hurry. But for some reason, Chuuya was rushing out of the theatre too. Dazai didn't know if it was because he wanted to catch up to him or he just was in a rush too.

Dazai arrived home and ran into the house as fast as he could. Once he walked into the house he saw Mori standing right in front of him.
"Your late," Mori said coldly. "I wasn't keeping track of time... sorry..." Dazai said worried about what his dad would do to him. Mori slapped Dazai in the face super hard, which left a hand print on his cheek. "I'll deal with you once I get home," Mori said and left without another word.
He hated him. Dazai hated him so much he wish he could just die. But Dazai was glad since Mori was going on a date.
You see Mori goes on dates every week, but this isn't just any date. He would rent a room at a motel for the night and fuck them. And the worst thing was it wasn't just women it was men too. Sometimes Mori would record him fucking them, which is why Dazai knows about it. Is because he's watched one before, and it was disgusting. Most of the time his dates would only do it for money. Which Mori paid up to $10,000 whenever he would fuck them.
But as long as Dazai didn't have to deal with fucking dad he was fine.

Mori entered the motel room and saw the small figure on the bed.
"You must be Chuuya I presume?" Mori asked the ginger male.
He nodded.
