Seokjin slowly awakens, he sees a blur of lights and slowly blinks until he can focus on the view in front of him. He turns his head and feels Jungkook's hand on intwined with his.

"You're finally awake sleepyhead." He smiles as he let's go to touch his cheek.

"Mmm," He leans into the hand and turns to face the window. They were on the freeway, he felt a burst of excitement. He could see the city lights after who knows how long he's been held captive. Seokjin put his full attention towards the landscape and couldn't wait till he was able to get out of the car.

"You have no idea how much I've missed the city." He held onto hope that he would run into one of his friends, as he noticed they were entering the city of Seoul.

He wondered which part of the city they would be in, and what Jungkook had planned for them to do.

"I can tell, you're practically shaking for excitement. I have a whole lot planned for us tonight."

Seokjin just smiled.

They were finally near the hongdae district. It was a little far from his apartment, but nonetheless he would have to ask him to take him another time.

They parked the car and began their walk into the city. Jungkook grabbed a hold of Seokjin's hand, to his surprise and immediately dropped it. This set confusion in Jungkook's face.

"It's not that I don't want to hold your hand. It's just... people are judgmental. " He whispered to him.

Jungkook nodded and just wrapped his arm around his shoulder. "Well it's a good thing skinship is a norm around here," He whispered back as they continued strolling around.

Seokjin had looked at the displays of the jewelry shop. He sighed remembering all of the things that could've been. He turned around and looked at the digital screen atop of the building. There he was able to read the month, they had entered.

04, December 2019.

It was his birthday.

Seokjin's heart tugged a bit. He had been away for almost 6 months. Yet, Jungkook still tried to do something for him. It was a bittersweet realization.

Jungkook took them over to a kbbq restaurant, there they were seated in the far corner. Given a little bit of privacy.

Jungkook took charge of grilling the meat as Seokjin watched in deep thought of everything that had happened in the past year. He didn't know what to think or how to feel.

"Thank you for the birthday gift." He said as Jungkook gave him a piece of the meat onto his plate.

"You're welcome my love." He came over and pecked him on the lips. "There's something else I wanted to give you."

He reached into his pocket and retrieved a box. Seokjin sat still and looked at him with shocked eyes. "What?"

"I got us couple rings. Heard it was something you give for that person you love and you're that person I love, Seokjin."

He didn't say anything as Jungkook grabbed his hand and put on the ring. He picked up the other ring and gave it to Seokjin to do the same for him. He fumbled a bit, with shaky hands putting the ring on his finger.

God, this is crazy, he thought to himself.

Jungkook was now satisfied with out their night was turning out. Seokjin didn't run away like he expected, nor try to find a way to contact any friends. Seokjin was all his. He didn't need anyone, he was all that he needed.

They finished up and continued walking all throughout the district, doing some shopping here and there. They ended up at a cafe. That was near Seokjin's old apartment.
