Narancia, the guy she just got to know, walked her down a hall to take her to her room.
The Don's words kept repeating in her head, if she was wrong, he would kill her. But, what was more concerning was the way he pronounced her name. Her cheeks flushed at his voice calling his name.
"[Name]"
"[Name]..."
"[Name]! You there!?"
"Huh? Sorry. I was zoned out." She replied, rubbing the back of her neck sheepishly.
"Oh, it's no big deal! I was saying this is your room." He pointed at the door, opening it for her.
"Thanks." She mumbled before walking inside, only for the door to be slammed shut behind her and locked.
"This is a cozy prison." She looked at the room, the pastel colors of the wall with metallic designs on them, the white sheets, the white curtains, this place was too beautiful but she was locked.
"Well, I guess I can sleep." She plopped herself down to the bed, slowly passing out.
On the other hand, Bucciarati and Abbacchio had visited the same site where they took [Name] from.
"Okay, Abbacchio, we have to look at the events of 30 minutes earlier. Play it as [Name]." Bucciarati instructed.
Abbacchio nodded before summoning Moodly Blues, to play the rewind.
Soon, Moody Blues showed the same girl running towards the wall, jumping in the air and stabbing someone.
Abbacchio and Bucciarati, both of them saw the scene unfold in front of their eyes, Bucciarati was deep in thought.
"Looks like she was right after all." Abbacchio said after the replay finished.
"Hmm. But that doesn't explain the packet of drug we found in her skirt. How could that be?" Bucciarati mumbled.
"Maybe we should replay as the group of men, one by one each, we got get some clues." Abbacchio said.
Bucciarati nodded. Abbacchio continued to use his stand on all the three men, the bald guy was the one who got stabbed in the eyes, the other one kicked in the crotch while the third one got stabbed on the hand.
Bucciarati was just shocked at how this girl took down all three of them. He knew something was up with the three of them, he had to investigate them again, after talking to [Name].
"Bucciarati, look." Abbacchio called out.
Bucciarati looked in the direction of Moody Blues, he saw the third guy made weird hand movements, it looked like he was trying to slip something into her pocket, before running away.
"So, they framed her." Bucciarati said.
"Fuckfaces." Abbacchio sighed.
"Abbacchio, we have to talk to [Name] first, before telling the boss." Bucciarati said, Abbacchio nodded in return.
As they were about to leave, they saw a boy walking towards the same direction of Moody Blues.
"Huh? Where did she go?" The little boy looked around.
"Who?" Abbacchio asked.
The boy yelped, shaking in his boots again.
"Huh, no one. I'm sorry." The boy pleaded.
"Hey, hey, there's no need to be scared. We won't hurt you." Bucciarati said as he walked closer to the kid, kneeling down in front him, he smiled warmly at him which made the kid comfortable.
"Uh... okay." He replied.
"Who are you looking for? Maybe we can help you find her?" Bucciarati asked.
"Well, um, I was looking for this girl. She saved me from these three guys earlier, uh, because they were beating me up for not paying them back." The boy replied.
Bucciarati was now dying with guilt. How could he have misjudged the situation? What is wrong with him?
"Did she wear a white shirt by any chance?" Bucciarati asked.
The boy nodded.
"She gave me... I mean she shoved some money in my mouth, so that I could buy some gelato, but I bought her one as well, I don't know if she likes (favorite flavor) flavored gelato... I just want to thank her for saving me, even though she's mean." The boy looked down at his feet in sadness.
Bucciarati smiled at the boy, patting his head. "Well, I do happen to know where she is, so I'll give her this gelato on your behalf and tell her about you. What's your name?" He asked the boy.
"O-oh. My name is Arnie." The boy beamed happily.
Bucciarati giggled and nodded, taking the (favorite flavor) gelato. "Okay, Arnie, I'll give this to her and tell her about you."
"Thanks!" The boy smiled before running away with his gelato.
Bucciarati looked at the boy with a warm smile before turning back to Abbacchio.
"I can't believe I misjudged the situation. We should do some background check on [Name], we have her house address, let's ask people around there."
"Yeah, good thinking." Abbacchio nodded. They both started to walk away from the place.
Abbacchio and Bucciarati walked down the alleyway, reaching her house quickly. They were looking around the area to find some people, while they stood in front of her house.
"Oh, are you people looking for Mr. Bianci? He hasn't been here for a while. His daughter lives here but she's probably working or beating someone up." They heard an old woman ramble on, while giggling at her last two words.
"Oh, hello, Ma'am. We were actually looking for someone who knows [Name] Bianci. Do you know her?" Bucciarati looked at her.
She nodded, before asking, "Is there a reason why? Did she get in trouble again?" The old woman asked in worry.
"Again? What do you mean?" Abbacchio asked.
"Oh, she keeps getting in trouble because of drug dealers. They won't leave her alone." The old woman sighed.
"What did she do to them?" Bucciarati asked in confusion.
"Well, [Name] doesn't allow drug dealers do sell drugs, doesn't matter whatever the area is. If she sees someone smuggling anything suspicious, she just acts without thinking, poor child keeps getting hurt in the process." The old woman replied.
"We almost lost her once, I was so worried." She sighed, placing her palm close to her chest.
"What do you mean, ma'am? Did someone tried to kill her?" Bucciarati asked.
"She got shot, and then had a heavy fever for a week and she was bedridden. It felt like we almost lost her. We actually found an arrow on her back when she returned." The old woman said.
"An arrow?" Bucciarati gasped.
"Bucciarati, it must be that."
Bucciarati nodded.
"Ma'am, do you know where the arrow is? Can you please tell us? That arrow is very dangerous. That is why she was bedridden for a week." Bucciarati explained.
"Oh my, I didn't know that. [Name] has the arrow with her. We didn't know what to do with it, so we left it with her. Please take it away from her, she shouldn't get hurt again." The old woman was panicking.
"It's okay mam, we got this." Bucciarati nodded at her before looking at Abbacchio.
They both decided to walk into the house to search for the arrow.
"The arrow has reappeared after 5 years. What could this mean?"
