Tough choice

Chapter 4

We stood there in silence for a while and I have been waiting for him to say what I think he wants to say.

'If your not going to say anything then I'm gonna leave. Bye.' 

Then I ran away. I shifted back when I was near the house and went inside.  I went to my room and laid on the bed.

I got up and looked out the window. I saw the black wolf shift back into human and the wolf was- ZANE!

Fuck. Even though I was already outside, I need fresh air again. I went outside and I had to walk past Zane.

I quickly walked past him. He tried to talk to me but I just continued walking. If Zane was my mate then why didn't I sense it?

I ran in the forest and I didn't stop. Running this fast made me feel free. I stopped at a clearing and looked around.  A few hours passed and I went back to the house.

The next day, I just stayed in my room and if not then I would go to the library. I tried find books about hybrids like me but I couldn't find any. This what it is like to be a special hybrid.

I was walking back to my room when I saw Claudia. We both stopped and talked.

"Tori. Why are you ignoring the alpha?" She asked.

"Im not ignoring him. Im just busy." I said.

"No your not. I am staying here to keep an eye on you and all you have been doing is go to the library or you stay in your room. Now tell me the real reason." She said.

Damn she is observant.

I took a deep breath and told her what happened when I went to the waterfall and how I think that Zane could possibly be my mate.

"Ok, I can't say its impossible but are you sure? Most importantly did he know it was you?" She asked.

"No. My scent was different and I told him my middle name." I said.

She sighed in relief. We continued talking on how I should try and be more like a wolf than a vampire.

"Ok. We will need to know your wolf's name then we can figure something out." She said.

"Well the thing is. I dont have a wolf." I said. She looked at me like a was a zombie.

"Ok. We can figure something out."

"How about I just tell him the truth and get everything out of the way so-"

"No we can't. This pack has a bad relationship with vampires." Claudia interrupted me.

Rude much.

"Ok. Then I will tell him I am just a werewolf/witch hybrid." I said.

"Thats not a bad idea. Then you would have to stop using your vampire side." She said.

"Can I be part of this plan?" Someone asked and Claudia and I jumped back in fright.
