"I love you, and that's the beginning and end of everything" - F. Scott Fitzgerald

(Joe's POV)
He has never felt this way before. It feels like all the wrongs in his life have been righted, and all the pain he has endured has been transformed into light. It's as if he discovered a missing puzzle piece and is now whole.
Joe already considered his life to be "perfect". He'd found Jill, and she'd filled his life with so much hope and happiness, and his soul with so much love and purpose. He began to see life in color again after meeting her. But he still can't express how he feels right now. It is like the colors have become more vibrant? Is it possible? He smiles to himself.
Auntie Val wanted to spend the weekend with her favorite munchkins after telling the family and celebrating the wonderful news. Bless his sister, because he then decided on the spot to treat the mother-to-be to a weekend at her favorite destination, the beach, just the two of them. He just wanted to be alone with Jill, have their own celebration, and let the reality of this new reality sink in and enjoy it.
He says, "Thank you, God," to the heavens.
He's been staring at her from the doorframe that leads to the beach, where she's standing, oblivious to the fact that she's being admired.
She is dressed all in white, facing the sea, like a goddess, with the wind softly playing with her hair and the sun caressing her face. It's as if Mother Nature has fallen in love with her.
Jill is younger than he is. If you ask him, she is the most beautiful creature that has ever walked the Earth, and she has never looked more beautiful or radiant than she does now.He is so engrossed in his feelings for her that her sudden giggle catches him off guard. His soul trembles and his heart races at the sound of her giggle!
The waves are teasing her feet, and he is now envious of mother nature. He begins to approach her, wanting to take her in his arms and make her laugh again. He approaches her from behind and embraces her, his hands naturally landing on her tummy, his face beside hers. He turns his head, smiling, and inhales the lush orange blossom scent of her hair products, mixed with the saltiness of the air and the sweetness of the sun rays. He wishes he could stop time at that precise moment.
He kisses the side of her head once more, and she laughs, making him laugh.'I am so happy, Joe,' she exclaims.
'Me too, baby, the happiest I've ever been. Thank you!' He says while planting small kisses on her neck. He can't stop kissing and touching her.
'For what?' She inquires.
'You gave me my life back, Jill.' You not only took in my boys, our boys, as your own, but now you are blessing our lives with another baby. OUR child. I'm so overjoyed that I'm afraid my heart will burst. I never thought I'd get a second chance at life, let alone the life we have.'
She turns in his arms and kisses him on the chest, right where his heart is pounding, before resting her hands there.
'You are my love and my life, Jill Tracy Biden. You never forget that.' He whispers as he tightens his grip on her.'I love you so much, Joe,' she says, lifting her head to meet his gaze. 'I love you for who you are. I love you for who I am when I'm with you. I love you because you found me when I was lost and you gave me back my dreams. You made them all come true.' She kisses him on the chest once more. 'And I love you the most because of our children, all three of them,' she says, her gaze fixed on him. They're both crying happy tears.
Joe swears he's falling in love with her for the hundredth time.
'Daddy. I'm going to be a daddy again.' He says, and his hands find her tummy, and he can't help but laugh heartily.
This beautiful, gorgeous man who has shown her the world in all its colors, who has given her the world, looks more radiant that the sun at that moment, Jill thinks. Her hands find his on her tummy, and they stay there, foreheads touching, two hearts beating in unison, and they both smile at life and its blessings.
After a few moments, Joe catches her off guard and lifts her into the air, and she laughs, and he can't get enough of her laugh.
"I love you, Jill!" he exclaims.
And she can't get enough of his love...
