Nera sat in the vast field of flowers.

A book laid on her lap. Sounds of the birds singing their delightful songs around her. The feeling of her scratchy wool sweater against her skin.

She wistfully smiles, for she is in such a beautiful place yet she is completely alone.

The blue sky above her, the red birds flying around, the field of pink flowers and green grass.

So many colors, so much life. Yet she is still alone.

As she begins to close her eyes and let go, she see something in her peripheral vision.

She turns her head and sees a bright light in the shape of a human, so bright that it looks like an angel.

The light begins to dim down and she sees a girl, but the girl is faced away from her.

She stood up, book landing on the soft grass, and begins to walk towards the once glowing girl.

As she got closer to the girl, she realized there was yellow flowers printed on her dress.

Her breath hitched when she realized...

daffodils

They were yellow daffodils on her dress.

This filled her with unexplainable euphoria and melancholy.

She looked up and studied the girls blonde hair. Honey blonde hair.

She felt a sense of longing, a connection.

She lifted her hand and reached out, touching the girls shoulder.

The girl slowly turned around and Nera gasped.

The girl in front of her was breathtakingly beautiful.

She had long honey blonde hair with bangs, beautiful golden eyes and freckles scattered all over her cheeks and nose.

In her hands, she held a bouquet of daffodils, daisies, chrysanthemums... all yellow flowers.

Tucked behind her ear was a single, small daffodil.

But Nera didn't gasp just because of how beautiful she is, she gasped because...

"Hey Nera.." the girl said in a soft voice

"Aurelia??" Nera questioned in disbelief, "It can't be you, you're..."

Aurelia sadly smiled and whispered, "You are too, my love."

Nera froze, Aurelia's words sinking into her. It all began to make sense.. for she didn't even remember when she came to that field.. it was as if she just appeared or had always been there.

The sadness Nera felt began to dim down and instead a wave of euphoria once again washed over her.

She looked back up at Aurelia just to find the latter already staring at her with so much love and happiness in her eyes.

Nera began to speak, "So it really is you? We can be together again?"

Aurelia grabbed Nera's hand and held them within her own, "Yes my love. Now we can be together for the rest of eternity, for our love is infinite."

Nera smiled widely and Aurelia did the same. "We shall pick yellow daffodils together and bathe in the sunlight, and love each other for infinity."

Nera placed her hand on the back of Aurelia's head and started to move closer to her. Their lips connected and Nera felt just as happy as she was the last time they kissed, 2 years ago.

They slowly broke the kiss and gazed at each other with so much love. Aurelia pulled Nera's hand and begun to walk, "Let's go... for eternity."

Nera smiled, "For infinity."

And they both walked through the vast field of now yellow flowers, towards the bright golden light.
