CHAPTER 3

I walked away and after that I ignore him. I didn’t even hang out anymore with my friends. Days, weeks and months had past, Christian always talks to me after class but I just ignore him. He asks me the same question, “I’m sorry. Can we be more than friends again?”, it’s like he told me that for 6 times. After that school year, I didn’t texted him even my friends. But when  another year was about to begin I didn’t forget any of those. First day of school starts and I again ignore them, whenever they come near me I would walk away. After months, I was thinking of forgetting the past and since he is not bothering me anymore. So we hang out again like we used to. but there was that one time we played instruments. He was playing a song called “ako’y sayo at ika’y akin lamang” , when he sang the part “Ngunit bakit sa tuwing akoy lumalapit ikay lumalayo?” he looked at me and I just pretended that I didn’t saw that. But Andrew and Mark, my classmates,  noticed it. When we were going to our classroom, they asked

Andrew. Hey Kim, do you still have feelings for him?

Me. Him? Who?

Mark. Christian

Me. Nope

Andrew. Well, I guess he still has that feelings for you.

Me. Ignore everything that happened a while ago

Them. So you saw it?

Me. Well.. yes!

Mark. And?

Me. Urrgghh! Please guys! Past is past!

After class, Christian was waiting for us, suddenly,

Andrew. Catch you guys later, I’m going to use the CR first

Mark. Yeah, umm.. me too

So, it was only me and Christian outside the school waiting for the others. Christian began to talk

Him. Hey kim?

Me. Yes?

Him. Um..

Me. Look Christian if you’re going to ask about the past, I would say that it won’t be back.

He look down. After that day, he would always wait for me outside our classroom. Months later, we became like the old us, best friends. Others say that we are lovers cause we look sweet  but no. but, I can say that were sweet. Here’s an example.

It was raining hard that day and I forgot to bring my umbrella, he took off his jacket and put it in me. The other was, it was my birthday and he brought me to a restaurant after we ate he kissed me on my forehead.

But I don’t want to go back in the past and get hurt again. It’s better to be sweet friends than lovers. And that I will stick on.
