"Jessie, Jo... WAKE UP! This is your last warning or else..." mum yelled.

"YES MUUUUUUUUUM..." chanted the twins (as if singing a chorus). Jessie sat up on her bunk, yawned and took a big stretch, before she jumped down the last step of her ladder.

"Come on Jo... don't want to be late - or DO YOU? hmmm!"

"SHUT UP Jess! I put my alarm on at 7:30am so I'll wake up then. Now get lost and do your bathroom stuff quick. You ONLY have 15 minutes!"

"Pfft... you think that you're the queen don't you? Well guess what! I have the most amazing surprise ever - just for YOU! "  snarled Jessie.

"Hahaha... very very funny. Jess, remember our promise. I don't think you want to break it - remember what happened last time... haha ...when the p-"

"Shut up or else ... fart breath!" whispered Jessie as she made her way to the bathroom. "PIG FACE!" shouted Jo whilst snuggling back into her bed. Sarah (twin's mum) was preparing breakfast for the twins and for Jacob (twin's dad). When Jessie finally came out of the bathroom, Jo ran straight in. Jessie slid down the stair handle and slipped off at the bottom. When she entered the kitchen, mum quickly looked at her and continued spreading jam on a slice of toast. Without speaking or looking, Jessie, whilst on her phone grabbed the toast on her mums hand ad ran out of the room. "uh... darling-"

"SAVE IT FOR LATER MUM!" screamed Jessie as she ran up the stairs.

"I wonder what's been up with Jess lately. Always in a rush, eh?" chuckled Jacob, almost chocking on the toast he stuffed in his mouth.

"Jacob, for the hundredth time - don't talk with your mouth full. I'm not sure why, but I think something is going on between the two of them." Sarah blabbered.

"Who?" asked Jacob, putting a confused look on his face.

"The twins! Who else? Come on Jacob pay some attention when your speaking. You probably got a fish brain up in your massive head!" said Sarah.

After a while both the twins came in the kitchen half dressed in their uniform and half dressed in their pj's.

"What up girlies?" said Jacob, munching on a banana.

"DAAAD. You're soooo not cool!" Jessie moaned. "Why does everyone have cool and amazing dad's apart from me?"

"Jess!" whispered Jo, nudging her with her shoulder. She made a ' what are you saying?' face. Jessie turned to look at mum and she was staring at her with her 'apologize RIGHT NOW! ' face. Sarah's eyebrows was so raised that you can see so many creases on her forehead - it seemed as if her eyes were going to pop out.

"Sorry dad... I didn't mean to-" Jessie was cut off by her father's deep angry voice.

"No Jessie - no need to apologize coz i'm used to you and your rude behavior. Sometimes I just wish- "

"Enough Jay!" Sarah interrupted. Jacob sighed and glared at Sarah. He wore his coat and slammed the door on his way out.

"GOSH JESS! You have to ruin everything. The things you do." Jo said as she made her way out. She ran back popping her head out on the side of the door. Before Jess had the chance to say anything Jo quickly said "MUM.. um .. have you seen my black socks. I mean they always go missing and I don't where they go!"

"No Jo, sorry I haven't seen it. No black socks when I was hanging the laundry." said Sarah.

"Jo I thought you already knew about your surprise." Jess said pulling her sneaky sly face.

"Where is it? Give it now! Mum tell Jess!" cried Jo.

Jo's face went blank. Sarah looked confused. "Girls you have 5 secs to explain. 5... 4... -"

"Um... the washing machine ... is A MONSTER! It ate Jo's socks, MY SHIRT, dad's vest and your thingamagic." Jessie blabbered.

"I'm sorry. My what???" Sarah asked

"Your dress that doesn't look like a dress which looked very wei- oh yeah." said Jess. Sarah had an angry look on her face. Jo looked like she was going to burst from keeping her laughter in.

" Oh yeah! Where is that dress of mine? I guess you're right. I haven't seen that top in ages. Oh we really need a new washing machine. That monster..." mum continued "Ok girls. We will leave in 1 minute. Go upstairs and grab your bags. I'll pop into the car."

"OK MUM" they both chanted. As they made their way to their bedroom Jo broke the silence. "You owe me a pair of socks! And... where is mum's dress?"

Jessie stared at Jo whilst putting her bag on her back. " Mustn't tell anyone! " Jess whispered

" I won't tell anyone or anything- not even my heart. As long as we keep the promise from now on. "  Jo replied.

Jess smirked, "Deal! I gave it to Maryam for her birthday and she absolutely LOVED it!"

Jo dropped her mouth open in awe. "Jess... how could you???"

"Shhh"

They both ran down the stairs and hopped into the car.
