after I encountered dragon fruit, I asked her what her name was.

"well my friend, niall-"
"wait how do you know my name?"
"well dipshit, you had a name tag on so I read it while you dozed off while I was trying to purchase my 'nasty' vitamin water. anyways, as I was saying, I won't tell you my name because what if you're a serial killer? who doesn't like vitamin water? exactly. a serial killer."

I laughed way too hard at this girl. I asked her to go back to the cafe and she looked at me scared, and shook her head.
"why not? why do you always run?"
She just shook her head but whipped out her battered iphone 4.
"look, I got a ton of shit going on and I just can't go to the coffee shop with you. but give me your phone number. I'll text you when it's safe."

I didn't choose to question her on "when it's safe" but I pulled out my iphone 6 and we both put in our contacts. I put in my name as "serial killer" with a ton of emojis of coffee after it.
"dragonfruit, if you ever need like anything just text or call me."
"thanks niall, but I really gotta go okay? I'll see you soon. promise!"
I nodded and smiled at her. she smiled softly and quickly pulled me into a hug.
"I just met you and I feel close to you! okay now I really need to go Ni! bye."
I smiled once again and she started running down the street. when I turned around she yelled.

"by the way, my name is Ray!"

I turned around and smiled at her silhouette running down the dark streets.
